Since 1948, some 425,000 Palestinian refugees have registered in Lebanon, more than half of them are living in overcrowded refugee camps that are surrounded by poor Lebanese communities. The list of challenges for these communities is overwhelming — from terrible housing to isolation and discrimination. Basic health, education and social services are lacking and so are the prospects for jobs and a dignified future.

With donations from our community of supporters, we are doing work that changes so many lives in Lebanon. Together, we’re providing vocational training for refugee youth to give them the skills they need to get jobs. We’re promoting healthy habits and responsible use of medicines through our partner community–based organizations so families can take better care of their health and well-being. We’re building home gardens so people can feed themselves. We’re creating sports fields and playgrounds so communities can come together. We’re delivering vital medicines to clinics and hospitals and responding in times of crisis with humanitarian relief.
