The Creative Health Campaign in Lebanon aimed at enabling communities to take charge of their health. It was conceptualized by ANERA and its partners after the 2006 war in Lebanon, when partners succeeded in integrating self-reliance into relief work. The campaign grew from 6 partners then to more than 120 partners in 2011, reaching areas all over Lebanon including most of the Palestinian camps and gatherings, the marginalized Lebanese communities mainly in the south and the Beirut suburb of Dahiya.
Objectives
To put health into the agenda of local organizations working in poor and marginalized communities
To reach community members with simple, smart and cost-effective practices that people can adopt to protect their health, save on expenses and foster self-reliance.

more than 16,000 mothers participated in mothers' sessions;
Funding came from ANERA's individual donors and generous organizations such as ACCESS, the Mosaic Foundation, the Virginia Wellington Foundation, Save the Children UK and UNICEF Lebanon.
