The Creative Health Campaign in Lebanon aimed at enabling communities to take charge of their health. It was conceptualized by ANERA and its partners after the 2006 war in Lebanon, when partners succeeded in integrating self-reliance into relief work. The campaign grew from 6 partners then to more than 120 partners in 2011, reaching areas all over Lebanon including most of the Palestinian camps and gatherings, the marginalized Lebanese communities mainly in the south and the Beirut suburb of Dahiya.

Objectives

  • To put health into the agenda of local organizations working in poor and marginalized communities

  • To reach community members with simple, smart and cost-effective practices that people can adopt to protect their health, save on expenses and foster self-reliance.
