Humanitarian Assistance

ANERA responds quickly to humanitarian crises in the region. We provide emergency relief in the form of cash grants and donations of food, pharmaceuticals, and medical supplies.

For example, ANERA served hot meals and delivered hygiene kits and urgently needed medical supplies to displaced Lebanese during the 2006 war and again during the fighting in northern Lebanon. Air and sea shipments valued at millions of dollars were organized in cooperation with US donors, notably AmeriCares. In coordination with our Lebanese NGO partners and Mercy Corps, ANERA delivered supplies and life-saving medicine to needy families.
