Where We Work

Initially providing aid to Palestinians immediately following the 1967 Arab-Israeli War, American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA) now addresses the long-term economic and social needs of Palestinians, Lebanese, Jordanians and Iraqis, and also provides relief during emergencies.

We deliver immediate and concrete results by virtue of our 40+ years of experience in the region and highly trained staff in Jerusalem, Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon and Jordan (office locations).

We help local institutions become more self-sufficient and effective in serving their communities. Every project is planned in consultation with the communities who ultimately benefit – an approach that ensures relevancy and commitment and secures the long-term viability of the projects.
