The following Privacy Policy governs all pages hosted at www.anera.org and those hosted through our online donation area, as well as personal information submitted to ANERA via other means.

Privacy of Information & Collection of Information
When you are on ANERA's web site and are asked for personal information, you are sharing that information with ANERA alone, unless stated otherwise or required by law. ANERA may collect general information regarding web site visitors, including IP address, browser and domain information, and may also monitor and track information such as visitor usage patterns of our web site using standard site tracking software.

We are aware of and sensitive to the issue of unsolicited email ("spam"); therefore ANERA will never rent, trade or sell your email address. Please note: From time to time, ANERA does exchange our postal mailing list with similar humanitarian organizations. We never rent or sell our list. If you wish not to have your name exchanged, please let us know in writing. Simply send us a request via email to an a anera@anera.org with your exact name and mailing address.

Personally Identifiable Information
ANERA collects personal information from visitors and other supporters only when they register to join our organization, make a donation online or offline, subscribe to our e-newsletter, or otherwise participate in our online community. Our web server does not automatically recognize or collect personal information based on your email address; the personal information we collect is always voluntarily submitted by you.

Use of Information
ANERA uses the information you submit voluntarily to us to send you electronic communications such as our e-newsletter, and various printed publications or mail appeals, and to help administer and improve our web site. Please note that we use this information for internal purposes only.

Update, Correct, or Delete Personal Information
The accuracy of your individual information is important to ANERA. If you have a question about or change to your personal information related to a donation, please send an email to anera@anera.org.

When you give ANERA personal information, we take steps to ensure that your information is treated securely. ANERA uses industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving sensitive visitor data (e.g., financial information) with our site. All online donations are processed via a secure server, managed by CharityWeb. Please view their privacy policy.

ANERA does not store your credit card information for future use. ANERA uses commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the security of any personal information on our systems, and to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information transmitted to us. Of course, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, ANERA cannot warrant the security of any information you transmit to us.

ANERA does not use cookies.

The ANERA web site provides links to other third party web sites. While we make efforts to choose our links carefully, we cannot take responsibility for the content of linked web sites, or for the privacy policies of web sites we link to. Linking to the ANERA Web site

Tell-A-Friend
If you elect to use the referral service for informing a friend about a page on the ANERA web site, you will be asked for the friend's name and e-mail address. ANERA will automatically send the friend a one-time e-mail inviting them to visit the site. ANERA uses this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email.

ANERA may amend this privacy policy from time to time.
