The theme of Anera’s 2025 Annual Dinner is a tribute to the strength and renewal we see each day in the communities we serve. Like the pomegranate, with its tough outer shell and bountiful seeds, these communities persist, even in the harshest conditions. In times of war, no shell can fully shield a community from harm. But with the care of donors, staff, and partners, we offer what protection we can. Together, we clear the stones, tend the soil and shelter the seedlings. And with time, care and courage, they grow.

Performer: Lina Makoul | Palestinian-American singer-songwriter and music producer. An independent musician from the historic town of Akka, Lina brings a powerful voice, evocative melodies and soulful beats. Makoul first gained popularity in 2013 as a proud Palestinian winner of the Voice Israel with her uniquely angelic yet powerful voice. Most recently, she joined Saint Levant’s Deira Tour in 2024, performing across North America and Europe.
Master of ceremonies: Omar Offendum is a Syrian-American rapper, spoken word poet, and theatrical storyteller with a unique ability to draw in audiences from various backgrounds and generations through his signature blend of hip-hop and Arabic poetry.
