Ramadan Donors Gave Sustenance During the Holy Month

Posted in: ,

Thanks to donors, Anera was able to help struggling families fight food insecurity by providing warm meals, food vouchers, and cash assistance.

Donations made during Ramadan up to $123,000 were doubled to increase impact and reach families in need, who were able to focus on observing the holiday instead of food scarcity.

In the West Bank, we distributed more than 2,000 food vouchers and 6,000 food parcels to families in need, reaching over 10,000 individuals. To celebrate the end of the Holy Month, our teams in the West Bank also distributed Eid boxes to over 2,000 children. In Gaza, we provided 10,000 parcels of fresh produce before the blockade.

In Lebanon, we distributed more than 9,000 food parcels to families in need and nearly 1,000 hot meals to orphaned and vulnerable children throughout the country. Each parcel contained pantry staples like rice, bulgur, and oil, helping families break their fasts with dignity and nutritiously filling meals. The ongoing violence has destroyed thousands of homes and shattered livelihoods, making these food relief interventions that much more meaningful for displaced families.

And in Jordan, we distributed more than 1,700 food parcels, helping nearly 11,000 Palestinian and Syrian refugees and underprivileged Jordanian populations. We were also able to distribute hot meals thanks to the incredible support of our Anera community.

Every single $1 donated is making a world of difference for families facing violence, displacement, and food insecurity. We thank our donors for continuing to help hope find a way.
