Celebrating Mother’s Day
Posted in:Â Days of Observance
Most countries in the Arab world celebrate Mother’s Day on March 21. In the U.S., Mother’s Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May.
Mother’s Day 2025!
This Mother’s Day, join Anera in celebrating the immensurable strength and resilience of mothers in Palestine, Lebanon, and Jordan. As financial crises and violence plague the region, mothers from all communities work to support their families.
We also acknowledge the complexity of this day for many, whose experiences with motherhood may not be traditional. We hope you can honor and celebrate your own perseverance in this difficult time.
Through our work, Anera meets incredible women every day, whether on our own staff or in the communities we aim to serve. These mothers are not only caring for their own children, but often entire communities. As they teach, lead, or volunteer, these women demonstrate the true spirit of endurance.
