New Rooftop Gardens in Gaza Help Mohammed Grow Strawberries

In Gaza, Palestine, over 56% of the population lives in poverty. And 69% of people struggle to put food on the table. With generous support from Humanity First UK, Anera has responded to this food insecurity by installing rooftop gardens for some of the most vulnerable families in Gaza.
We’ve provided seven families with hydroponic rooftop gardens so they can grow their own crops. Hydroponic agriculture can grow 10 times more plants in a given area than traditional farming. Now these families have fresh produce and a sustainable source of nutritious food to eat and to sell.
