In communities like Tanbourit in South Lebanon, rooftop gardens are making a positive impact. They provide families with fresh produce for their own consumption and offer a source of income in a country where the agricultural sector is slowly recovering. This comes amid Lebanon’s ongoing economic crisis and a fragile ceasefire following the war with Israel, which has severely affected farmland and farming communities in the south. These rooftop gardens are generously funded by Citi Foundation.
