Restricted Bequests

Most donors leave their gifts to Anera without restriction. This allows Anera to use these funds to help us fulfill our mission as appropriate at the time funds are bequeathed. Nevertheless, Anera honors a donor’s intent set forth in estate planning documents for the use of a gift. Bequest provisions designated for a specific program or activity may require additional, specific language depending on the program or activity. It may be advisable to contact Anera during the drafting of estate planning documents for assistance to ensure that your wishes are properly understood.

We ask that you include the following language...

“If at anytime the Board of American Near East Refugee Aid (Anera) should determine that it is no longer practical to use this fund for the above-described purpose, it may be used for other needs of Anera in advancement of its mission.”
