February 16, 2012 – Anera (American Near East Refugee Aid) is pleased to announce that Rami Azzam has joined the organization as director of online strategy and fundraising. “Rami’s experience in online communications and marketing will help Anera move forward in its outreach strategy, said Anera president Bill Corcoran.  “As a Palestinian-American who has lived in the West Bank, his deep understanding of Palestinian culture is a valuable asset for Anera.

Rami Azzam graduated from the University of British Colombia and also studied at the Emily Carr University of Art & Design and the American University of Cairo.

Since 1968, Anera has been a leading provider of development programs in health, education and job creation in communities throughout the Middle East. In 2011 alone, Anera delivered more than $65 million for programs in Gaza, West Bank, Lebanon and Jordan.
