September 23, 2024 | Washington, DC – We are pleased to announce that Jamie Morgan joins Anera today as chief financial officer (CFO). He brings a wealth of experience from his 13 years in the chief executive officer, chief operating officer and CFO roles at Physicians for Peace, a global nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives through medical education. At Physicians for Peace, Jamie successfully led strategic transformations, enhanced financial systems, and transitioned the organization to a more sustainable model.

As Anera’s CFO, Jamie will provide financial oversight for a $200 million organization with more than 150 global staff supporting operations in Lebanon, Palestine and Jordan. The CFO serves as a critical member of the organization’s senior executive team, with a focus on operational and financial excellence, ensuring effective delivery of Anera’s mission.

Based in the US, Jamie will report to the CEO and work closely with the chief operating officer on day-to-day operations.

“We interviewed a lot of great, diverse candidates. We are fortunate and thrilled that we are getting the interview panel’s unanimous top choice,” says Anera President and CEO Sean Carroll. Jamie is a seasoned financial and operational executive with over 25 years in C-suite roles. He has the expertise needed to lead Anera’s financial and accounting operations and systems, and bring leadership and expert guidance on our investment strategies and decisions.
