Palestine Emerging and Anera Announce a Strategic Partnership To Support Palestinian Healthcare Recovery and Transformation

ISTANBUL (May 1, 2025) — Anera and Palestine Emerging are proud to announce a new strategic partnership aimed at improving healthcare for all Palestinians.

Through this partnership, the two organizations commit to work together and with other partners, to bring about their shared vision of improved access to higher quality healthcare for all Palestinians that supports economic recovery.

Anera, a leader in delivering humanitarian aid and sustainable development programs in the Middle East, brings decades of experience in healthcare delivery and economic development, including in Gaza.

Palestine Emerging, a Palestinian-led and internationally backed coalition focused on empowering Palestinian economic recovery and growth, contributes strategic insights and forward-thinking solutions. This includes the Palestine Emerging Healthcare and Transformation Blueprint, which represents a bold step toward addressing critical healthcare challenges in Palestine, including medical supply shortages, limited healthcare accessibility, underinvestment in technological and other innovative service solutions, and workforce challenges. By leveraging Anera’s on-the-ground expertise and Palestine Emerging’s visionary approach, this partnership aims to deliver sustainable impact across the Palestinian healthcare sector.

As founding partners of the Palestine Healthcare Partnership, Anera will build its Palestinian health team to support healthcare recovery in Gaza and the future development of community-based healthcare in the West Bank. The team will work closely together, with the wider Palestine Emerging coalition and Palestine Healthcare Partnership, drawing on lessons from Anera’s delivery experience in Gaza, international good practice, and Palestine Emerging’s analysis and strategic blueprint for Palestinian healthcare transformation.

Starting on 2 May, this groundbreaking partnership will see the Palestine Emerging and Anera health teams join forces to identify the detailed work for the team, identifying and training local talent and supporting the piloting of a new approach to community healthcare delivery in the West Bank. The goal is to build lasting local capacity and ownership, a mechanism for working with a broader set of partners, while delivering real benefits to Palestinian patients in the short term.
