Humanitarian Agencies Call For an Urgent End to the Conflict in Lebanon

The escalating conflict in Lebanon has plunged the country into a deepening humanitarian crisis. Since October 2023, over 102,000 civilians have been displaced, and 101 lives have been tragically lost, including 20 children. The damage to civilian infrastructure is extensive, with thousands of buildings and critical facilities impacted.

In the face of these alarming developments, the Lebanon Humanitarian INGO Forum (LHIF), which Anera is party to, and the Lebanon Humanitarian and Development NGO Forum (LHDF) have issued a joint statement, urgently calling for an immediate ceasefire and an end to the conflict. As humanitarian organizations, we are committed to standing by the most vulnerable communities in Lebanon during these challenging times.
