West Bank Farmers Recycle Wastewater to Nourish Crops

Meet a Palestinian farmer who is irrigating his alfalfa and trees with a valuable resource, wastewater, that was being thrown away as crops died.

In the fertile plains of Marj Ibn Amer Valley, Jenin, a Palestinian farmer was struggling to grow crops and feed his livestock, given the scarce water resources in the West Bank. But a new wastewater reuse project is recycling this precious resource and irrigating his fields. Now he can grow crops like alfalfa and millet, feed his sheep, and make more money to help boost the Palestinian economy.
