Greenhouses Help Palestinians in Gaza

Posted in:

Thanks to our supporters, 1,100 Palestinian families in Gaza now have a
greenhouse which provides food and income security.

Since 2007, Gaza has suffered a blockade and three wars. Eight out of ten Gaza families have come to depend on food aid. Farming is one of the few ways for Palestinian families to put food on the table and generate income. But many lack the resources to make use of their fallow or war-damaged fields and garden plots.

Anera restores hope for Palestinians in Gaza who have a little farming know-how and some green space near their homes. Our agronomists work with farming families to erect greenhouses, install irrigation systems, plant crops and share best agricultural practices.

Have a look at our new film featuring a few of the greenhouses Anera has recently built.
