Building Rooftop Gardens in Gaza
Anera has installed 49 rooftop gardens across Gaza. The gardens provide families with a ready supply of fresh vegetables. Many families find that spending time tending to their garden offers a respite from the stresses of everyday life in Gaza.
Suhad Zayed and her family are one of the participating households. She and her kids collect vegetables from their rooftop garden every morning for use in their daily meals. Watch the video to see how she makes salad and fried eggplant with some of what she grows.
