New Greenhouses in Gaza Help Families Provide for Themselves

Posted in:

Anera has built greenhouses for 66 families across Rafah and Khan Younis in Gaza. Now families grow their own tomatoes, cucumber and eggplants. Though it is the beginning of the harvest season in Gaza, it’s already a promising start despite the COVID-19 restrictions in place. People are staying home, but they can still enjoy healthy meals. Three months ago, in the summer of 2020, Anera agronomists conducted five days of training on the safe use of pesticides, soil rejuvenation, and planting grafted seeds, all while taking physical distancing precautions.
