Anera Launches Arabic Website
March 28, 2011 | Washington, DC As a service to our diverse audiences, Anera (American Near East Refugee Aid) has launched an Arabic-language website that carries essential information about Aneras mission and programs in West Bank, Gaza, Jordan and Lebanon. The goal is to better inform our ever-expanding community of supporters and interested individuals about Aneras humanitarian and development activities.
The layout, which mirrors www.anera.org, offers texts, photo slideshows and podcasts focusing on Anera activities in the field. There are also fact sheets (PDF) in Arabic that detail Aneras strategy, programs and accountability and can be downloaded for reference and sharing among friends and supporters. Another user-friendly feature is the click-on icon that allows you to easily navigate between Aneras Arabic and English websites.
Anera RSS and Twitter feeds in Arabic will be regularly updated to keep our supporters and a wider public audience up to date on current programs implemented in the field to benefit Palestinians and impoverished families in the Middle East.
For more than 40 years, Anera has been a leading provider of development, health, education and employment programs to Palestinian communities and impoverished families throughout the Middle East. The overwhelming majority of Aneras 80-strong staff in West Bank, Gaza, Lebanon and Jordan are Palestinian professionalsdoctors, engineers, teachers and agriculture expertswho are committed to improving lives in the Middle East.
In FY 2010, the relief and development agency delivered more than $450 million of programs to the people of the West Bank, Gaza, Lebanon and Jordan.
