A Brief Status Update on the Explosions in Lebanon

Posted in:

A massive explosion in the port rocked downtown Beirut this afternoon, with shockwaves felt many kilometers away, as far as Cyprus. At least 10 people have been reported dead thus far, and over 1,000 people injured. Preliminary reports from authorities are suggesting it was an accident.

Thankfully, all of our staff are unharmed, although some of us have had our houses damaged by the blast. Our office in Beirut had many of its windows blown out but is structurally undamaged. Fortunately only one team member was present at the time. She was unhurt and made it home safely.

This incident comes during an already very difficult time for Lebanon. Staff who can are donating blood at nearby blood banks. We will share more information as it becomes available.
