Supporting Medical Missions Across Jordan

Posted in:

With support from Direct Relief and International Health Partners, we recently distributed medical aid and treatments across Jordan, focusing on underserved communities.

Necessary Medical Aid Reaches Jordan

In a collaborative effort to bring essential healthcare to underserved communities in Jordan, Anera recently supported a series of medical missions led by the Jordan National Red Crescent Society (JNRCS), with backing from the Qatari Red Crescent. These missions focused on rural areas and refugee communities, providing much-needed medical care to individuals facing chronic conditions, infections, and other health concerns.

In total, we provided around 10,513 treatments, thanks to donations from Direct Relief and International Health Partners (IHP). We hosted medical days in multiple governorates, with locations selected based on local needs assessments and healthcare service gaps. So far, the missions have reached Irbid, Aqaba, Mafraq, and Jerash, with additional days planned in Karak, Ma’an, and Amman.

Anera played a critical role by helping secure key medications for these missions, thanks to the generous donations from IHP and Direct Relief. This support enabled JNRCS medical teams to offer free care and medicines to more than 100 patients per day, addressing a wide range of health needs.

Looking Ahead

The medical missions in Jordan are ongoing, with plans to expand into more communities where access to care remains limited. These efforts are a testament to what is possible when global solidarity meets local action.

Anera is proud to partner with JNRCS, Direct Relief, IHP, and the Qatari Red Crescent to make healthcare accessible to those who need it most.
