Leading the Vaccination Drive in Lebanon’s Palestinian Refugee Camps

Posted in: ,

With support from UNICEF, Anera has led a campaign to register thousands of residents in the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon for vaccination against COVID-19. Palestinian refugees with COVID-19 have a morbidity rate three times higher than the average in Lebanon.

Together with a team of volunteers, we conducted door-to-door visits to help community members become better informed about the vaccines, debunk misinformation, and to assist them in registering online via the Ministry of Public Health’s platform. And we set up informational booths in areas with high foot traffic, conducted rapid awareness sessions, and distributed informational materials.
