Time Lapse of the Renovation of the Gaza Sports Club

Posted in:

The Gaza Sports Club in Gaza City is the oldest, largest sports club in the Palestinian territories. Recently, with support from USAID through our Palestinian Community Infrastructure Development program, we gave it a complete overhaul.

Outside and inside spaces are fully renovated and look like new. We upgraded the existing fields and added new ones for a range of sports, including soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis and track. Newly installed lights allow the club to operate at night. The outdoor seating area now fits 800 spectators.

The new facilities allow the club to add more activities and teams of all kinds, generating greater operating income for the club and making it more sustainable.
