Anera Honors Dubai Cares

Anera (American Near East Refugee Aid) honored Dubai Cares at its Annual Dinner for its creative leadership and generous support of its early childhood development programs in West Bank and Gaza.

Commenting on the honor, Tariq Al Gurg, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Cares said: “This very special honor highlights the accomplishments of the UAE philanthropic community and also calls attention to the work that still needs to be done to guarantee free early and primary school education to every child in the West Bank and Gaza.”

In honoring Dubai Cares, Anera underscored its support in improving the quality of preschool education and for its efforts toward eliminating the social and economic obstacles that keep Palestinian primary-age children from the classrooms.

“We are honored and grateful for Dubai Cares’ trust and support. We believe that investing in early childhood development is possibly the most significant investment a society can make,” said Anera president Bill Corcoran.

Dubai Cares was recognized at Anera’s 2013 Annual Dinner, which was attended by diplomats, representatives of corporations and the NGO community working in the Middle East as well as Anera supporters and philanthropists.
