Anera Humanitarian Aid and Development in Lebanon – Activity Log
This log provides a daily snapshot of Anera’s humanitarian work in Lebanon. While it offers a glimpse into the efforts of our staff as they deliver vital programs across the country, it does not capture everything happening on the ground. Updates are drawn from text messages and chats sent by team members in real time, giving an unfiltered look at the work underway. Some days may have no entries, while others may be updated retroactively as additional reporting becomes available. This log reflects the dedication, responsiveness, and local leadership that drive Anera’s impact in Lebanon.

We checked in on our programs in Akkar and north Lebanon today.
Today we also held a focus group discussion for nurseries, with many nursery owners participating. We discussed the challenges facing this sector and explored possible solutions.

Today we started a new model of pipe cultivation for crops and planted iceberg lettuce.

Our Bekaa Business Start-Up training started with 16 projects full of passion, ideas and ambition for success.

We conducted an orientation session today with CVC Charity in BML for the Administrative course, setting the stage for a productive and inspiring learning journey for the youth. We also met today with the youth of ATTAL, the Travel and Tourism course in BML. The president of ATTAL, Mr. Jean Abboud, was also present and shared encouragement with the youth as they approach the final days of CBT and prepare to begin CFW.

At the Syrian camps today with NAOS. We came to visit the Sewing Programme (MESP) funded by UNICEF. We also visited the Sawa Project in Nahr El Bared Camp over the past two days. The visit focused on the protection program we are implementing in the camp, and the visitors also had the opportunity to explore and visit the Business Start-Up component.

Students enrolled in our sewing course have produced 2,500 winter kits, which include essential items like jackets. As the cold season approaches, these kits will be distributed throughout the Bekaa region. This effort is part of a larger initiative to provide an additional 10,000 winter kits to vulnerable communities across Lebanon. This program is support by UNICEF, with funding from the German Development Bank, KfW.

Continuing the launch of the Youth-Led Initiatives (YLI) in Tyre city. Through the “Youth Empowerment Project in South Lebanon,” funded by UNIFIL and implemented by the UNESCO Office in Beirut and UNICEF through Anera, we are supporting youth to access new opportunities and actively contribute to their communities.
In Tyre – South Lebanon, a group of youth brought their YLI “Sports Space for All” to life by installing new outdoor gym equipment and refurbishing existing ones in the public park facing Tyre Rest House, transforming it into a vibrant and inclusive community sports area.
In Tyre – South Lebanon, youth launched their YLI “Our Field is Life” by installing benches, waste bins, and repainting the public garden playground near the clock area — transforming it into a safer, cleaner, and more family-friendly community space.
In Tyre – South Lebanon, youth revived Tyre Public Garden near the Rest House by repairing and repainting children’s games, drawing interactive playground activities, and organizing heritage and entertainment events — turning it into a vibrant, inclusive space for all.
