A Dream to Help People with Down Syndrome in Lebanon

Wafa Basha, a volunteer with Anera’s peace through sports program, talks about her dream of starting an organization to help children with Down syndrome in Lebanon. Her goal is not only to develop their skills, but also to assist them in entering the job market.

Wafa is an example of the kinds of inspiring young people Anera engages in our youth programing in Lebanon. Their experiences with Anera help them feel empowered to realize dreams beyond what is in front of them.
