April 30, 2026
Electricity access in Ain Kfarzabad is now fully operational. The solar system has been officially handed over to the municipality following testing, with residents now benefiting from 24/7 power.


Anera also continues strengthening healthcare support across Lebanon. With support from IHP, essential medicines are being delivered nationwide while mobile clinics are reaching displaced communities with direct care.
In the South, distributions continued in Hasbaya and Saida. Vegetable and water packs were delivered to families in Al-Fardis, alongside hygiene kit distributions to shelters in Saida city.
April 29, 2026
In Arsal, Anera is reviving traditional livelihoods through a new stone carving training. Twenty youth are participating in the course, gaining practical and technical skills while working with locally sourced stone to produce high-quality designs.
In Mount Lebanon, 350 sleeping bags were distributed in Souk El Gharb to support families in need. These items were produced by 22 workers through a local production initiative, contributing to both relief efforts and livelihood opportunities.
Youth employment initiatives in the Bekaa continue to show impact. Fifteen participants in the sewing course produced 2,100 school uniforms, which will be distributed to public schools in Arsal and Al Marj, supporting students while creating income opportunities for youth.
April 28, 2026
Today, Anera prepared around 1,000 sleeping bags to be transported from Ibdaa w Najah to the North warehouse. These sleeping bags were produced in Akkar by 30 of our youth participants in the Emergency program.

In North Lebanon, today marks day 16 of our barber program. A total of 40 barbers have been deployed across 18 collective shelters in 8 areas, providing grooming services to men and children. To date, 2,210 haircuts have been completed, helping preserve dignity and upkeep hygiene in displaced communities.


April 27, 2026
Anera teams in the Bekaa dispatched 585 spring kits to Zaarourieh Al Chouf collective shelter, supporting displaced families with seasonal relief items.


A new initiative under the women’s development program is also creating opportunities for youth. Around 15 participants from the cash-for-work sewing course in Arsal produced 2,100 school uniforms, which will be distributed to public school students in Arsal, Marj and neighboring areas.


April 25, 2026
A new initiative launched in partnership with Thaki and NISCVT to support girls with low academic performance through peer learning and mentorship, encouraging them to continue their education.

In the Bekaa, Anera’s solar revolving fund continues to expand impact. A solar installation in Ain Kfarzabad is now powering the area while reducing diesel reliance by more than 70%, providing more stable and sustainable energy for the community. Local leaders expressed appreciation for the project’s role in strengthening infrastructure and supporting long-term sustainability.
April 24, 2026
Anera delivered critical medical support with 2,853 vials of erythropoietin to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, supporting more than 150 dialysis patients in Ain El Helwe and Tripoli over a two-month period. This support helps patients continue life-saving treatment while reducing complications.

A new emergency cash-for-work initiative launched in West Bekaa and Zahle. Through this program, 40 barbers and hairdressers are providing grooming services across more than 25 collective shelters, reaching around 2,650 displaced individuals while creating short-term livelihood opportunities.


In South Lebanon, Anera joined a humanitarian convoy to Ain Ebel, delivering 4.5 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables and 6,000 liters of bottled water to communities along the border where access to food and clean water remains limited.
April 23, 2026
Youth development programming expanded in the Bekaa, with around 50 participants enrolled in a pilot robotics initiative. The program is building skills in English, financial literacy and technology through hands-on training using micro-bit tools.


Staff also completed training on the inclusion of persons with disabilities as part of a broader effort to support 100 individuals in accessing skills development and employment opportunities.

Water filtration systems installed in displacement centers in Jezzine and Saida are now providing safe drinking water to 1,085 displaced individuals, with long-term benefits for surrounding communities and schools.
In Ain Ebel, communities shared their appreciation after receiving fresh food through Anera’s convoy, highlighting both the quality of items and the importance of this support during ongoing shortages.
April 22, 2026
Today, Anera teams in the Bekaa are finalizing solar installations in Ain Kfarzabad. This effort will provide 24/7 electricity access to households, ensuring stable and reliable power for displaced and vulnerable families.


April 21, 2026
Today, Anera expanded access to safe drinking water in the South. Water filtration systems are being installed across IDP sites in Saida and Jezzine, using multi-stage filtration and UV purification to provide continuous access to clean water for displaced families.


Today, Anera also continued supporting communities through youth engagement and training. Nahno volunteers improved conditions in a shelter in Dekwaneh by cleaning shared spaces and installing waste bins.
In the South, Anera staff participated in a first aid training in collaboration with the Lebanese Red Cross, strengthening emergency response capacity.

Preparations are also underway for additional food support. Two trucks have been loaded with fresh fruits, vegetables and bottled water, with a convoy scheduled to depart to Ein Ebel to support more than 500 families.


April 20, 2026
Today, Anera teams in Akkar supported women and girls in collective shelters by distributing 187 hygiene kits to displaced women.


Food assistance efforts also continue to grow. Anera supported the preparation and distribution of 6,000 hot meals for displaced Palestinian refugees, contributing to more than 155,897 meals served since March.
April 19, 2026
Today, Anera continued supporting families in the Bekaa as displacement patterns shift following the ceasefire. While some families have left shelters, others have returned.
Anera supported 73 households with ready-to-eat food parcels across collective shelters in Central and West Bekaa.


Anera is supporting Lebanon’s strained healthcare system by delivering critical medical equipment, including ventilators, to hospitals facing urgent shortages. These supplies are helping ensure patients continue to receive life-saving care.
Anera also announced a phased resumption of operations across Lebanon, with most areas returning to normal activity while maintaining safety precautions.
April 18, 2026
Today, youth-led initiatives in the North continued to support displaced communities. Youth barbers reached around 260 men and boys in shelters this week, providing haircuts along with a sense of dignity and care during difficult conditions.
April 17, 2026
Today, Anera received a critical shipment of life-saving medications. The delivery included 7 pallets, or 1.2 tons, of antibiotics, enough to treat 5,770 adults and 5,573 children across Lebanon. The shipment was cleared and transported from Beirut Port to Karantina warehouse within two days.


At the same time, food assistance efforts continue inside shelters. Anera and partners have distributed 118,600 hot meals across three technical schools in Dekweneh, Bir Hassan and Zgharta. These meals were prepared by 46 displaced youth through the Learning to Earning program, bringing the total number of hot meals provided to more than 138,000.
Movement of displaced families also continues. According to DRM, 31% of displaced people in the North and 19% in Akkar have relocated, with some returning temporarily to check on their homes.
April 16, 2026
Today, a ceasefire comes into effect. For many families, conditions remain unchanged. Thousands remain displaced, living in shelters or damaged areas with uncertainty about what comes next.
Anera continues to support families as needs persist beyond the ceasefire.
Safety guidance was also issued to staff. Work from home is encouraged, movement is limited to urgent humanitarian activities, flexibility is provided for staff needs and safety precautions remain in place.
April 15, 2026
Today, Anera teams were finally able to reach isolated communities in South Lebanon despite road closures and difficult access. In Marjayoun, an urgent convoy delivered fresh food and water to families facing shortages. 4.5 tons of fresh fruits, vegetables and bottled water were delivered.

Today, Anera also continued food distributions across West Bekaa with 108 ready-to-eat food parcels distributed across Aana, Kefraya, Saghbine, Tal Dnoub and Kherbwt Kanafar.


Hot meal support continued at scale in the North in partnership with the Women’s Programs Association. 6,000 hot meals delivered at Battir School.
Today, Nahno volunteers participated in the LAU Job Fair in Jbeil, promoting national volunteering.


April 14, 2026
Today, Anera adapted operations in the South due to access restrictions. A planned fresh produce delivery to Ein Ebel had to be redirected to Marjayoun to ensure aid reached nearby communities that are in need.
Across Lebanon, distributions continue to scale.
5,646 bags of Lebanese pita bread was distributed, reaching more than 26,000 displaced people.
More than 2,500 ready-to-eat food parcels were also delivered.
Over 51,400 medication packs were also distributed, supporting more than 32,000 patients.
Today, Lebanon country director, Samar El Yassir gave an update from a collective shelter that Anera supports in Beirut, where displaced families continue to face difficult living conditions.
April 13, 2026
Today, Anera launched haircut services at Zgharta shelter in North Lebanon. Youth barbers are supporting displaced families, with the initiative aiming to reach around 150 individuals this week.


At Jabel Amel Hospital, ventilators delivered by Anera were immediately put into use to respond to urgent needs.

Today, teams also prepared fresh produce for delivery to Ain Ebel in the South where people there are facing severe food shortages.

Looking ahead, Anera began preparations to install multi-purpose tents at Zgharta TVET School. These spaces will support skills-based and income-generating activities as well as be child-friendly learning spaces.


April 12, 2026
Today, Anera continued distributions in the Bekaa despite heavy rain. At Zahle Haoush El Omara collective shelter 72 ready-to-eat food parcels were distributed to around 280 displaced people.


April 11, 2026
Today, Anera supported displaced families in Nahr al-Bared Camp in North Lebanon. 131 spring kits were distributed inside shelters and 60 winter kits distributed to families outside shelters.


In Nabaa, youth volunteers provided care and connection for elderly individuals. Eight trained youth offered free grooming services, reaching around 30 elderly people living in isolation.
Today’s activity created a space for interaction and support beyond basic services.
April 10, 2026
Today, Anera delivered three ventilators to Saida Turkish Hospital and Jabal Amel Hospital. As hospitals face extreme overcrowding, this equipment helps provide the life-saving respiratory support needed to manage the surge.

Additionally, Anera distributed 80 individual hygiene kits donated by UNHCR in a collective shelter in Bakaa- Rachaya. Thanks to the coordination between actors in the sector, this distribution is in response to reports on cases of lice in the school.

Provision of daily bread continues for the ninth consecutive day, supporting 24 collective shelters across West Bekaa and Rachaya. 600 households (and more than 2100 displaced persons) benefited from this intervention, and we are receiving more calls from shelters across Bekaa to support them with bread.

Following escalations in conflict in Lebanon today, here is an update from Anera:
This morning, before Israel’s strikes began, the First Aid Training took place today in Bekaa and Akkar for our staff members in collaboration with Lebanese Red cross. The informative session covered several life saving subjects that might come in handy in our day to day duties.


Business start-up training began officially this mornign in the North. Today, we kicked off phase six out of eight of our Business Startup Training where ambitious youth are diving in with focus, creativity, and big ideas. eight more days of learning, building, and growing ahead.

Today, Anera is responding to the needs of displaced families in collective shelters in South Lebanon by distributing 2,768 boxes of water, covering 19 shelters across Saida and Jezzine and supporting 1,384 families in total.
Even in the most difficult moments of displacement, we strive to open a space of hope.

Additionally, today marks the second day of Anera’s daily bread distribution, with 600 bags provided daily to families in 24 shelters across Rachaya and West Bekaa.

Anera distributed 258 ready-to-eat parcels to internally displaced people sheltering in 4 different collective shelters in Aley district of Mount Lebanon. These parcels will help support displaced families and cover their immediate food needs. This distribution is part of Anera’s continuous support to collective shelters amid the ongoing emergency response.

In coordination with local community based organizations in Beddawi and Nahr el Bared camps in North Lebanon, we held a meeting today to discuss the upcoming support for IDPs residing within the Palestinian camps.
During April, the intervention will primarily focus on addressing the needs of children under the age of 2, as well as supporting host families with essential non-food items.
The number of displaced families across both camps has reached approximately 2,100 families.

Through our support of the women program association kitchen in Beddawi camp – North Lebanon, we provide 260 meals for 80 families of IDPs in Naher el Bared camp shelter.

April 2, 2026
Today, Anera started the distribution of Daily Bread for 24 collective shelters in Bekaa supporting 600 families in West Bekaa and Rashaya for two weeks as a start. This initiative will benefit more than 2000 beneficiaries residing in shelters and do not have access to the town or a nearby market.

When everything is uncertain, hygiene and self-care give people control, comfort, and a sense of normalcy.
In Barelias, Bekaa, Anera distributed 419 personal hygiene kits generously donated by UNHCR Lebanon to families living in collective shelters. These kits help people care for themselves and their loved ones, protecting health and preserving dignity amid uncertainty.
In Akkar and North Lebanon Anera distributed 288 winter kits to displaced individuals across 8 collective shelters in Akkar. In addition, 337 winter kits were delivered to a technical vocational education and training school in Bir Al Hasan, Beirut, reaching 337 individuals.

From today’s visit to the technical vocational education and training kitchen in Zgharta, where 5 displaced individuals are currently producing around 350 hot meals daily. The center is currently hosting 350 people, or 99 families
The kitchen itself is highly equipped, exceptionally clean, and well-organized, reflecting strong adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
The visit was conducted in the presence of the Head of the Vocational Training Department, alongside representatives from World Food Programme and Donyana, allowing for a comprehensive discussion on operations, standards, and potential areas for scale-up.
Looking ahead, the planned scale-up will increase the number of cash-for-work participants to 20, enabling the production of up to 2,200 hot meals daily and significantly expanding coverage to reach a larger number of displaced and vulnerable people.

April 1, 2026
Today, Anera’s Lebanon Country Director Samar El-Yassir visited the technical vocational education and training school at Dekweneh shelter, home to 2,516 displaced individuals, to assess urgent needs and strengthen our emergency response.
The visit included a strategic discussion with the General Directorate of the technical vocational education and training school, Dr. Hanadi Berri, alongside a focus group discussion with displaced individuals to better understand critical gaps. The visit also featured a tour of the kitchen, where youth are producing approximately 2,500 hot meals daily, as well as the distribution of 270 Eid clothing kits, ensuring children and youth can enjoy new outfits ahead of Easter.


After being evacuated and displaced from refugee camps in South Lebanon, Beirut and the Bekaa Valley, many Palestinian refugee families have been forced to move yet again. A large number of these families are currently staying at a shelter in the Nahr El Bared Camp in North Lebanon.
To meet their most basic needs, Anera, in coordination with the Women’s Programs Association, is facilitating the cooking and delivery of nearly 300 hot meals every day for the families at this shelter.
This vital food assistance is a lifeline during a time of immense uncertainty and hardship.
Today, our support of the women program association kitchen in Beddawi camp in North Lebanon, Anera provided 275 hot meals of tawook sandwiches and coleslaw supporting 80 families of internally displaced people in temporary UNRWA Naher el Bared camp shelter.


Anera’s barbering course with the Awareness and Consolation Association at Beirut and Mount Lebanon are practicing and perfecting their craft. Today they took the initiative and went to the the Darya shelter to provide free haircuts for children and adults.
