July 31, 2025
Twenty youth trainees from Anera’s culinary program organized a community day in Ain El Hilweh camp, engaging around 70 children and parents in group games and food-centered activities. The event was part of their final project to bring people together and serve their local community.
July 29, 2025
Anera’s rooftop gardening program in Lebanon has reached over 260 households, with 77 more expected to join. Families like those of Nazima, Nabil and Em Tawfik are growing vegetables for home use, selling excess produce and sharing with neighbors to strengthen food security.

At Zainab’s Kitchen in South Lebanon, 18 youth trainees closed out their culinary training by inviting war-affected families to join them for a shared meal. The event created a moment of dignity and connection between young people and community members impacted by conflict.
July 27, 2025
Anera conducted the second round of Training of Trainers (TOT) as part of the Climate Change and Nahno Volunteers Project. Twenty participants are now equipped to deliver climate education to 5,100 youth.




Also that weekend, two Nahno youth leaders facilitated a social behavior change session in collaboration with the Lebanese Food Bank, engaging 35 youth in discussions around waste management and environmental responsibility.

Anera teams implemented a range of activities funded through the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund, including support for reconstruction, emergency cash assistance and water access improvements in underserved communities. The programming targets families still recovering from war and economic shocks.
July 25, 2025
4,813 spring kits, produced by youth in North Lebanon and Akkar, departed for the Bekaa for distribution to vulnerable communities.
In Mansourieh, Mount Lebanon, Chef Sleiman is preparing and distributing 200 hot meals daily. The municipality receives and shares the meals with families in need and expressed deep appreciation for the support.

July 24, 2025
Anera announced a new painter training program in Qornayel, Aley, Mount Lebanon. As part of the recovery project, trainees will help rehabilitate municipal and public buildings.
July 23, 2025
Anera launched a new social media training in Beirut, equipping youth with tools to promote themselves and their work online.
As part of the Greener Lebanon initiative, Nahno volunteers joined a discussion on climate change and planted 50 trees in Rachaya.
The 4-day Business Start-up training with Andre Abi Awad wrapped up, completing the second round of youth-led business support.

July 21, 2025
Anera launched a new hospitality training in Beirut, part of its support for Lebanon’s service sector.
A robotics course began in Baalbek, expanding Anera’s tech programming in a new location.
A new teacher training program also launched in Beirut.
Another hospitality training in Beirut was announced, continuing efforts to support youth employment.

Updates from the field in Bekaa greenhouses shows tomatoes nearing harvest.

As part of Anera’s recovery program, supported by UNICEF Lebanon, youth from across the Bekaa Valley are gaining practical experience in preparing mouneh, a skill deeply rooted in Lebanese and regional traditions and now more essential than ever. 20,000 mouneh jars will be distributed, prepared by 100 trainees.

Anera’s sales training course continued in Tripoli, North Lebanon, in partnership with Quad Digital Media.
Community updates from Anera’s greenhouses included harvests from Oum Tawfik and Nazima, with lively exchanges about recipes and crop quality.


A new Travel and Tourism course launched with ATTAL, introducing youth to job pathways in the travel industry.
A bakery training program (Phase 7) is also underway in South Lebanon at Mouwasat.

On World Youth Skills Day, Anera celebrated the talent and determination of youth across Lebanon.
The Business Start-up training series began at Al Bustan Hotel, led by expert Andre Abi Awad. The first two sessions focused on entrepreneurship and business modeling for the second round of youth participants.

Anera launched a robotics course in Chtoura, Bekaa, expanding STEM education opportunities for youth.
As part of ongoing community safety efforts, Anera installed 121 solar lights along five streets in Furn El Chebbek, improving visibility and safety in a densely populated area affected by frequent power outages.

Phase 6 of the hospitality course officially began at CIS College with Chef Karim. Youth participants prepared burgers during the opening session, gaining hands-on culinary experience.

In Chiyah, 35 youth took part in a traffic safety initiative supported by UNICEF and implemented with USEK. They painted road dividers using light-reflective paint provided by Colortek, helping improve nighttime visibility on busy roads.
July 9, 2025
Youth in Anera’s Mouneh project in Jeb Jennine are producing 5,000 jars of preserved food for distribution in war-affected areas of the Bekaa.




A greenhouse supported through Anera’s Green Rooftops Project helped one family harvest 200 kg of cucumbers and 100 kg of tomatoes, with more crops still to come.
Anera assembled 5,544 spring kits (out of a total 13,600) for families in the Bekaa and South. These kits were produced by 414 youth, many of whom have been directly affected by the recent war.

Anera launched a new agriculture training on seed and seedling production in partnership with the Lebanese Agricultural Research Institute (LARI) in the Bekaa.
July 7, 2025
Anera launched a special education teacher training in Zahle, Bekaa, strengthening inclusive education capacity.
Anera President & CEO Sean Carroll and Communications Manager Farah Maalouf visited one of Anera’s community kitchens, where young trainees are preparing hot meals for families in need. A total of 320,000 meals will be distributed across Lebanon.
In the South, youth in the Recovery PD phase built waste bins as part of local environmental cleanup efforts.
Anera launched a new agriculture training in Tripoli, providing youth with skills to grow their own food.

UNICEF conducted a field visit to a Cash-for-Work site at the Al Safadi Foundation in North Lebanon, where 36 youth are producing 52 closets, 10 sofa beds, and 10 tables for vulnerable households.


A second UNICEF visit to a waiters and sous chef CBT course highlighted the progress of 20 youth trainees, who are preparing to enter the hospitality sector.

A greenhouse beneficiary in Akkar shared a video showcasing a tomato harvest, supported by Anera’s agricultural work.
A rooftop garden in Bedawi continues to provide fresh produce for a local family.

Saja, a graduate of Anera’s chocolate-making course, is now the proud co-owner of Chocolala, a growing micro-business in Akkar. With Anera’s support, she has successfully launched her own venture and is producing and selling handcrafted chocolate.

People with disabilities helped produce over 20,000 hot meals for their communities while gaining valuable skills through Anera.
Anera teams continue to deliver critical medical treatments across Lebanon.
At the Robogeex AI Challenge, sponsored by Anera and UNICEF, two Anera student teams won first place. These students had participated in Anera’s vocational training programs. Anera also sponsored part of the competition’s awards and was honored with a recognition from the Syndicate of EdTech in Lebanon.


As part of the “Greener Lebanon” initiative, 50 Nahno Volunteers planted 50 evergreen trees in Saida, learning how small actions contribute to climate solutions.
In partnership with UNICEF, Anera youth at Sleep Comfort produced 80 sleep mattresses for families in need, providing dignity and comfort to vulnerable households. At FabricAID, another Anera cash-for-work team continued producing 2,000 winter kits to help communities prepare for the colder months later this year.
