June 17, 2026

Over 100 girls in Anera’s Sawa project took part in an exhibition to display their handmade crafts and participate in a range of activities like interactive theater and public speaking to share their creativity and raise awareness on early marriage and other social issues. Events like this help these girls to grow their self-confidence, develop their skills and become leaders to create positive change in their communities.

June 15, 2026

Today, Anera began a new hot meal distribution project in Beirut and Mount Lebanon, with funding from the World Food Programme and implemented in partnership with Socrate Catering. On this first day, we served 4,928 meals at 21 shelters.

Through our vocational program, 10 displaced youth with nursing backgrounds are giving back by caring for displaced elderly residents at Dar Riayat Al Yatim Al Arabi. From assisting with personal hygiene and changing clothes to offering companionship and emotional support, these young caregivers are helping ensure that our elders live with comfort and dignity.

Today, we received two emergency shipments from Direct Relief that contain 50 emergency medical backpacks, in addition to 12 types of chronic and acute medications.

Our emergency food production and distribution program for displaced people continues. In the last 34 days of operation at this location in North Lebanon, we have produced and distributed a total of 20,400 hot meals and 19,884 cold sandwiches to provide ongoing nutritional support for a total of 720 internally displaced persons.


In our ongoing support for cystic fibrosis patients in Lebanon, Anera and Direct Relief distributed pancrelipase, a pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy for people with cystic fibrosis, covering their needs for five months.

June 8, 2026

Today we began producing hot meals for displaced families in Rachaya and West Bekaa. Working at a vocational education facility in Rachaya (Aqaba), Anera’s vocational students produced 539 hot meals through a joint project with the World Food Programme and the International Orthodox Christian Charities. For the next 40 days, these young people will be supporting the kitchen to provide meals to public shelters in the area. We anticipate soon increasing production to 1,500 meals daily.


We resumed today our distribution of daily fresh bread to address the significant food insecurity in more than 25 collective shelters across Rashaya and West Bekaa. Anera is providing 600 packs of bread on a daily basis for at least the next 14 days to more than 2,175 displaced people with limited access to markets.

June 4, 2026

Today, we are upgrading solar systems for three public schools in Bekaa. The schools are hosting around 400 internally displaced people. The new solar system will provide more reliable electricity for the displaced families. And post war, these schools will serve 1,750 students each school year.


Sabrine, speaking in the video here, is one of many youth gaining skills and tuning them into impact. They are producing sleeping bags, winter kits, and essential aid already reaching families across the country.


Also today, a visit to the Dekweneh shelter, where students are coming together to prepare hot meals for displaced families.

June 3, 2026

The final batch of medications, funded by Americares, arrived today. The delivery of over 40,000 vials of critical medications, including anesthesia, sedation, gastrointestinal protection, and emergency stabilization, will support emergency and surgical services across 10 trauma-designated governmental hospitals. This timely delivery strengthens frontline hospitals’ ability to continue delivering life-saving care when it is needed most.


Also today, we received midwife kits donated by Direct Relief at our distribution center. These kits contain essential medical supplies, equipment, and medications needed to support safe deliveries and help prevent complications for mothers and newborns. We will soon distribute the kits to Palestine Red Crescent Society facilities and public hospitals across Lebanon.

June 2, 2026

Today we received a donation of more than 17,000 treatments of IV medications for hospital use, including essential anticancer treatments. This donation, generously provided by Health Partners International of Canada and shipped through Airlink. We will distribute the medications to the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon and other hospitals, helping strengthen access to critical treatments for vulnerable patients across Lebanon during these difficult circumstances.


It’s day 95 of the war in the South, and yet people continue to choose life. This is exactly what the resilient displaced youth in our vocational program are proving every day as they prepare daily meals for our displaced families. Over the past two days, all meals prepared by the youth were delivered to the tents recently established by the municipality in Haret Saida as part of a rapid response following the latest evacuation warning issued for the city of Tyre.


Anera’s ultrasound training program has provided nine emergency room doctors, enabling ultrasound use at three hospitals in Lebanon, including within the South’s “redzone” area.


Anera’s humanitarian convoys continue reaching hard-to-access areas in southern Lebanon. This time, Anera’s trucks reached Nabatieh, delivering food parcels.

June 1, 2026

In Lebanon, Anera distributed 1.25 tons (2,756 pounds) of fresh Qurbani meat to 383 vulnerable and displaced families in southern Lebanon to help them celebrate Eid.
