With support from directrelief, Anera delivered 75 emergency medical kits to first responders in Lebanon. Equipped with essential first aid supplies, each kit is expected to help treat between 50 and 100 emergency cases amid ongoing resource shortages.

Today marked the inauguration of the Hospitality Academy at Rachaya TVET School, bringing together public-sector representatives, local authorities, and hospitality-sector stakeholders.
The event was attended by H.E. MP Wael Bou Faour, Mr. Sadr Daoud, representing the Director General of DGTVE, Mr. Toni El Rami, Head of the Syndicate of Restaurants in Lebanon, as well as mayors and local dignitaries.
The inauguration highlighted the importance of strong public–NGO partnerships in equipping youth with market-relevant skills and creating pathways to employment.
As part of UNICEF’s “Learning to Earning” Programme, attendees expressed gratitude for Anera’s role to support this initiative and contribute to strengthening youth employability and access to sustainable employment opportunities.

Phase 8 of Anera’s Employability and Empowerment project is officially underway in South Lebanon! Working alongside local partners Mowasat and Education Planet Association (EPA), we’ve kicked off three vocational training courses — Mechanics, Cooking, and Logistics — giving young people in the South practical skills and a real pathway to employment. More updates to come as the courses get going.

Youth Build Barista Skills
Twenty young people have begun hands-on barista training at the Najjar Training Academy through a partnership between Anera, LAU, and Najjar. Participants are learning about coffee varieties and preparation while practicing how to make popular drinks such as cappuccinos, mochas, iced lattes, and frappés. The training gives youth practical skills and experience to help them pursue jobs in the hospitality and coffee industries.
Youth Turn Skills Into Action
Young people from Beirut and west and central Bekaa came together in Rachaya Al Wadi for a youth-led initiative focused on community and the environment. The day included a visit to the Independence Citadel and Rachaya Souk, an environmental awareness session, and a guided visit to Al Yabse Natural Reserve. The activity marked the 10th and final youth-led initiative, bringing together young people from different communities to lead activities and strengthen connections.

“The smallest act of kindness can create the biggest smile.”
Today, nine young people from our Learning and Support teacher training participated in our youth-led initiative at Dar Al Aytam in Baalbek, engaging with 28 children, aged 5–14, with intellectual disabilities.
On their first day, these youths welcomed the children with thoughtful gifts and participated together in fun group activities, creating moments of joy, inclusion, connection, and togetherness.

Your words have an impact – “كلمتك إلها أثر.”
Through Anera’s advanced life skills class, youth and children came together to talk about bullying, social media, self-image, and the importance of being comfortable with who we are. With creative activities, open conversations, and a dialogue with parents, we created a space where every child could feel heard, accepted, and free to be themselves.

Anera staff conducted a field visit across Akkar and North Lebanon, including a team reflection session with our country director and visits to business startup participants in Tal Hayat and Berqayel, as well as with participants in our ENABLE project at Al Rahma Center.

This is the story of Mohamad Hobbalah, a participant in our business start-up initiative from Bazourieh, South Lebanon.
He built his catering and snacks business with hard work and determination, turning his dream into a reality. Then the Hezbollah-Israel war left his shop damaged and covered in shattered glass and debris. Rather than give up, he cleaned, rebuilt, and repaired the space himself, and is now back at work serving customers in his community.
