Apprentices with Disabilities Begin On-the-Job Training
A new step has begun in Anera’s project supporting people with disabilities. After 10 days of classroom training, 98 apprentices with disabilities have started 40 days of on-the-job training with 40 business partners. Each workplace was visited beforehand and assessed for health, safety and accessibility.
The placements span hospitality, agriculture, sewing and other sectors, giving apprentices real workplace experience and a chance to strengthen their technical and professional skills. It’s an important step toward greater inclusion and lasting employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.
