Youth from the Learning Support Teacher course implemented the “Basmeh w Athar” youth-led initiative in partnership with the Human and Future Association in the Bekaa.

The initiative brought together more than 45 people with disabilities. Participants received flowers and gifts as part of activities designed to create moments of joy, care and inclusion.

As part of the International Youth Day campaign, Nahno Volunteers highlighted the growing reach of Lebanon’s national volunteering platform.

More than 200 associations and organizations are using the platform to engage over 29,000 volunteers, creating opportunities for young people to contribute to their communities. The campaign encourages additional organizations to join the platform and expand volunteering opportunities for youth across Lebanon.

Nine competency-based training classes kicked off in Tripoli, reaching 225 young people through the PBF Project.

In collaboration with the Directorate General of Vocational and Technical Education, Anera is providing hands-on support and sharing technical knowledge throughout implementation. The project is implemented in collaboration with UNICEF, IOM, UNDP and Tripoli Municipality to strengthen training opportunities and pathways for young people in Tripoli.

Baalbek Municipality hosted Anera for a meeting introducing current programs in the area, including workforce development, agriculture, the Social Impact Fund and Nahno Volunteers.

The meeting was attended by Baalbek Mayor Ahmed Tfaily, municipality members and representatives from several local NGOs. Participants discussed Anera’s work in the area and potential opportunities for future partnership.

With support from WFP, Anera continues to provide hot meals to internally displaced people in 36 collective shelters across Beirut, Mount Lebanon and Saida.

Approximately 8,000 hot meals are being distributed every day as displacement-related needs continue despite the ceasefire.

Through a partnership between Anera and Health Partners International of Canada, a new shipment of essential pediatric oncology medicines is helping children at the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon continue their treatment.

The medicines support uninterrupted cancer care for children undergoing treatment and help ensure access to critical therapies and supportive medications.

Nahno Volunteers launched its International Youth Day campaign, “Together Through Volunteering | معًا نتطوّع,” highlighting the experiences of young volunteers and the impact of Lebanon’s national volunteering platform.

Running from August 5 through August 12, the campaign shares volunteer stories and highlights the platform’s achievements and contribution to youth engagement across Lebanon.

A UNICEF delegation visited Syrian track courses in the Bekaa to observe ongoing activities and review program progress.

The delegation included senior representatives and specialists working across education, child protection, youth development, WASH and health. Visitors were briefed on the courses, met with students and learned more about their progress and experiences.

Youth participating in Phase 8 of Anera’s Work-Based Learning program in South Lebanon are gaining practical experience in the culinary field. The training provides participants with hands-on opportunities to build skills and prepare for future employment.

Rehabilitation work began at Riyyak TVET School in the Bekaa as part of Anera’s support for vocational and technical education facilities.

The work includes roof and wall waterproofing for the school’s kitchen and laboratories, helping improve the learning and training environment for students.
