Today, Anera is responding to the needs of displaced families in collective shelters in South Lebanon by distributing 2,768 boxes of water, covering 19 shelters across Saida and Jezzine and supporting 1,384 families in total.
Even in the most difficult moments of displacement, we strive to open a space of hope.

Additionally, today marks the second day of Anera’s daily bread distribution, with 600 bags provided daily to families in 24 shelters across Rachaya and West Bekaa.

Anera distributed 258 ready-to-eat parcels to internally displaced people sheltering in 4 different collective shelters in Aley district of Mount Lebanon. These parcels will help support displaced families and cover their immediate food needs. This distribution is part of Anera’s continuous support to collective shelters amid the ongoing emergency response.

In coordination with local community based organizations in Beddawi and Nahr el Bared camps in North Lebanon, we held a meeting today to discuss the upcoming support for IDPs residing within the Palestinian camps.
During April, the intervention will primarily focus on addressing the needs of children under the age of 2, as well as supporting host families with essential non-food items.
The number of displaced families across both camps has reached approximately 2,100 families.

Through our support of the women program association kitchen in Beddawi camp – North Lebanon, we provide 260 meals for 80 families of IDPs in Naher el Bared camp shelter.

Today, Anera started the distribution of Daily Bread for 24 collective shelters in Bekaa supporting 600 families in West Bekaa and Rashaya for two weeks as a start. This initiative will benefit more than 2000 beneficiaries residing in shelters and do not have access to the town or a nearby market.

When everything is uncertain, hygiene and self-care give people control, comfort, and a sense of normalcy.
In Barelias, Bekaa, Anera distributed 419 personal hygiene kits generously donated by UNHCR Lebanon to families living in collective shelters. These kits help people care for themselves and their loved ones, protecting health and preserving dignity amid uncertainty.
In Akkar and North Lebanon Anera distributed 288 winter kits to displaced individuals across 8 collective shelters in Akkar. In addition, 337 winter kits were delivered to a technical vocational education and training school in Bir Al Hasan, Beirut, reaching 337 individuals.

From today’s visit to the technical vocational education and training kitchen in Zgharta, where 5 displaced individuals are currently producing around 350 hot meals daily. The center is currently hosting 350 people, or 99 families
The kitchen itself is highly equipped, exceptionally clean, and well-organized, reflecting strong adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
The visit was conducted in the presence of the Head of the Vocational Training Department, alongside representatives from World Food Programme and Donyana, allowing for a comprehensive discussion on operations, standards, and potential areas for scale-up.
Looking ahead, the planned scale-up will increase the number of cash-for-work participants to 20, enabling the production of up to 2,200 hot meals daily and significantly expanding coverage to reach a larger number of displaced and vulnerable people.

After being evacuated and displaced from refugee camps in South Lebanon, Beirut and the Bekaa Valley, many Palestinian refugee families have been forced to move yet again. A large number of these families are currently staying at a shelter in the Nahr El Bared Camp in North Lebanon.
To meet their most basic needs, Anera, in coordination with the Women’s Programs Association, is facilitating the cooking and delivery of nearly 300 hot meals every day for the families at this shelter.
This vital food assistance is a lifeline during a time of immense uncertainty and hardship.
Today, our support of the women program association kitchen in Beddawi camp in North Lebanon, Anera provided 275 hot meals of tawook sandwiches and coleslaw supporting 80 families of internally displaced people in temporary UNRWA Naher el Bared camp shelter.
