Rehabilitation work was completed at Srifa Public Garden as part of a youth-led community initiative supported through a UNIFIL-funded project. The garden is being transformed into a safe, accessible public space for residents, marking a milestone in community engagement and local revitalization efforts.

Anera completed the site handover for a solar energy project in the village of Ain Kfarzabad, in partnership with the local municipality. The initiative aims to provide cleaner, more affordable, and more reliable electricity to the community. Construction is scheduled to begin in early February.
On the same day, four youth who completed Anera-supported agro-food training secured employment at a newly opened restaurant operated by a local partner in South Lebanon. The restaurant serves as both a training site and a source of sustainable employment for young people.

Anera convened a focus group discussion for the beauty sector in Beirut and Mount Lebanon. The session examined key challenges facing the sector and identified practical solutions. Findings from the discussion will inform the launch of new vocational training courses tailored to market needs.

A five-story residential building collapsed around 3:00 a.m. in Tripoli’s Qobbeh area on Al-Jadeed Street, trapping an entire family beneath the rubble. Search and rescue operations faced major challenges due to severe shortages of heavy equipment and specialized machinery, though additional equipment was dispatched to the site.
Local reports indicated the building had been evacuated the previous day after structural cracks were identified, but the family later returned after being unable to secure alternative shelter. According to Tripoli municipality estimates, approximately 600 buildings across the city remain at risk of collapse, underscoring serious safety concerns for vulnerable communities.

A child from Gaza with a life-threatening heart condition received urgent medical care in Jordan with support from Anera and partners, highlighting regional medical coordination and cross-border humanitarian assistance.

Youth from North Lebanon and Akkar began the first day of the Advanced Sewing and Fashion Design course at USJ North Campus. The day included a campus tour, and participants expressed strong excitement as they started the program.
Participants engaged in sewing and fashion design training as part of Anera-supported youth skills development activities in North Lebanon.

Drone footage captured the historic souk of Rachaya Al Wadi illuminated by the solar lights installed by Anera, reflecting the impact of renewable energy on community spaces.
Activities were shared from Greener Lebanon’s initiative in Mashha, Akkar highlighting community-based environmental efforts supported through local partnerships.

Anera installed solar-powered lighting in the historic souk of Rachaya Al Wadi while training 10 youth on solar installation and maintenance, improving safety and supporting local economic activity.
Youth from North Lebanon and Akkar who completed Education CBT courses began a 10-day Advanced AI Training at the American University of Beirut. The day included a campus tour and an introductory university briefing.

Anera supported a rooftop gardening initiative in South Lebanon by providing agricultural tents that enabled a household to grow fresh produce. The project supported household-level food access and resulted in a successful harvest.
