Anera’s North Lebanon team participated in first aid training with the Lebanese Red Cross to strengthen emergency preparedness and lifesaving response skills.

With Anera’s support, two critical firefighting vehicles in Saida were rehabilitated and returned to service. In addition to emergency firefighting and rescue operations, the vehicles will help deliver water to 10 collective shelters supporting displaced families facing daily shortages.

Anera launched a business startup program across Lebanon designed to empower young people through financial support and technical assistance to help them establish small businesses and strengthen economic opportunities.

Anera completed the delivery of humanitarian aid convoys to Rmeish, bringing essential food, water and baby supplies to families in southern Lebanon enduring difficult conditions near the border.

Anera prepared six trucks loaded with fresh vegetables, bottled water and baby food for delivery to the southern border village of Rmeish, supporting families facing worsening conditions and insecurity.



In Nabatieh District, Anera delivered 200 food parcels to families affected by ongoing conflict and displacement in Kfour Municipality as part of a rapid humanitarian intervention responding to urgent community needs.

At Rafic Hariri Governmental Hospital, Anera continued implementation of the POCUS Project by training nine emergency room doctors on portable ultrasound devices. The training supports emergency care across three hospitals, including facilities serving southern Lebanon’s “red zone” areas.

Anera’s North Lebanon team distributed 74 ready-to-eat food parcels across four collective shelters, reaching approximately 271 displaced people as part of the sixth round of support for shelters in the region.

In Akkar, 30 youth participating in an emergency cash-for-work initiative began producing 1,000 spring kits that will soon be distributed to displaced families across Lebanon.


Anera also officially launched its POCUS Emergency Training Program for three trauma-designated referral hospitals in Lebanon. The initiative includes hands-on ultrasound training for nine frontline emergency doctors and the delivery of portable ultrasound probes to participating hospitals to strengthen emergency and trauma care capacity.

In West Bekaa, Anera teams responded overnight after approximately 90 displaced people fled their villages following evacuation warnings and bombardment in nearby areas. Emergency interventions reached Kherbet Rouha, Rachaya, Kawkaba and Majdal Balhis.


That evening, around 100 displaced people staying in five collective shelters received sleeping kits to help families and children rest more safely and comfortably. The rapid response, coordinated with MOSA and UNHCR, supported shelters in Rachaya, Kawkaba, Kherbet Rouha and Majdal Balhis.

Anera has partnered with Amel Association to operate two primary healthcare satellite units in collective sites across Saida and Jbeil, providing essential health services to displaced people affected by the ongoing crisis.
Psychosocial support unit teams are delivering medical consultations, health awareness sessions, medication support, referrals, and follow-up care — coordinating closely with municipalities and local stakeholders to ensure continuous access to healthcare under challenging conditions.


After the bombardment of Mashghara yesterday and the threats to Sohmor and Yohmor today in West Bekaa, several families sought refuge at the Greek Catholic Archdiocese in Aitanit. Anera intervened immediately and provided RTE’s to new 60 IDPs (12 families) in collaboration with the sector and MoSA.

Today Anera hosted an upholstery course from the South at Al Mouwasat.

In times of crisis, gender-based violence often rises in the shadows. For many girls, that includes the risk of early marriage, a form of violence that can take away their safety, education and future.
Through awareness sessions in Akkar, North Lebanon, Anera, under the “Sawa” project, is working with communities to challenge these harmful realities. By training influential male figures, who then go on to engage and educate other men in their communities, the impact reaches further, creating conversations that can lead to real change.

Today, a firefighting vehicle will officially be handed over to resume operations at the Firefighting Center of the Municipality of Saida and and to start serving displacement shelters through the daily water trucking service, following the completion of maintenance works funded by Anera. This handover marks the return of the first firefighting vehicle to active service, while maintenance works on the second vehicle will simultaneously begin. The event will take place in the presence of the Mayor of Saida Municipality Mr. Mustafa Hijazi.

The youth are making a difference! In coordination with Moasat Organization in Saida, youth continue supporting displaced people in the shelters by providing barber services through a cash-for-work program.

During the escalation in Lebanon, hospitals were overwhelmed with mass casualties arriving without warning, pushing emergency departments and ICUs beyond capacity. The team is speaking from the Command and Control Center previously equipped by Anera, part of earlier support to strengthen emergency response readiness.
Despite severe shortages of medical supplies, equipment, fuel, and electricity, healthcare workers continue to respond under extreme pressure and limited resources.

Today, we distributed 83 newborn and baby kits for children under 3 years old to displaced families outside of shelters in Beddawi and Nahr El-Bared Palestinian refugee camps, in coordination with other organizations and popular committees inside the camps.


Today, we successfully cleared and transported a shipment from Beirut Airport to American University of Beirut’s medical center, ensuring continuity of care for 81 cystic fibrosis patients for an additional 6 months. The total donation value exceeds 15 million USD. We are proud that patients in Lebanon are receiving these rare disease treatments exclusively through Anera’s support.

18 youth in Baalbek are building practical agricultural skills through greenhouse farming and primary production training, learning how to cultivate and maintain vegetables under favorable growing conditions.

Through Anera’s Green Rooftop Project, we introduced hydroponic farming, boosting yields, delivering fresher produce, and using less water, all within the same space.
Installed strategically along the greenhouse wall, this system is a smart and sustainable step forward—strengthening families’ livelihoods across 10 greenhouses. And this is only the beginning. More is coming.

Today Anera held a meeting with his excellency Judge Kamal Abou Jaoude, the Bekaa Governor, to brief him on the latest installation in Ain Kfarzabad. The meeting was attended by Ali Sahili Mayor of Ain Kfarzabad, and focused on the importance of the revolving fund in supporting municipalities throughout Bekaa. His excellency also called upon other municipalities to apply to the fund, expressing his gratitude for this Anera project in supporting the communities in Bekaa.

Today, our youth enrolled in farming and primary production activities in Baalback are elevating their skills in cultivating and maintaining vegetables in greenhouses. The program, involving 18 students, delivered comprehensive training across key agricultural domains including soil preparation, seed science and plant propagation as well cultivation of field crops.


Additionally, 30 youth engaged in the emergency cash-for-work programming in Akkar are continuing the production of sleeping bags with great dedication. As of today, they have successfully produced 1,250 sleeping bags

In Beirut and Mount Lebanon, today is pitching day for our business startup program, and it was a great experience! You can see from the pictures the amazing ideas that were presented. The energy, creativity, and effort from the participants were truly impressive.
We have successfully achieved our target, and we’re looking forward to seeing those selected move forward, build their businesses, and become real success stories.

Even in the midst of ongoing challenges and difficult circumstances, the resilience and dedication of those in South continue to shine. At Tropicana Restaurant, participants in the cash-for-work program are showing remarkable strength and commitment. Their perseverance is truly inspiring. The pictures below are from phase six of our cooking and catering course.

Today in Bekaa, Anera selected 13 promising business start-up ideas across diverse sectors, from sewing and cooking & catering (including the famous fwaregh), to agriculture, graphic design, and beauty. The journey now continues with a 6-month incubation phase, where participants will be supported by experienced coaches to bring their ideas to life.

From March 30 to May 5, Anera delivered a total of 53,163 bread bundles to displaced families across Saida and its surrounding shelters. This intervention reflects Anera’s continued commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and ensuring access to essential needs during this challenging period.

93 trainees from the barbering course, part of UNICEF Lebanon’s Learning to Earning program implemented by Anera, are offering grooming and care services across shelters in Lebanon. So far, they have provided 5,700 haircuts to displaced men and children, including boys and girls. Through this initiative, youth are earning an income while gaining practical experience and supporting their communities.

Today in Rachaya, we hosted a Focus Group discussion with professionals and representatives of the local hospitality sector in the area. The discussion was focusing on collaboration between Anera, Rachaya Technical Institute, and Farah Association to elevate the skills of youth in the area for employment opportunities in Beirut and Rachaya.
