In this log, Anera provides updates on unfolding war in Palestine and our response. In some cases, additional activities may be added retroactively to the daily entries as we receive additional program reporting.
August 31, 2024
Anera distributed 21,139 gallons of water (80 cubic meters), benefitting 26,660 people in informal shelters in Deir Al Balah and Mawasi, Khan Younis.
Our team prepared and distributed 34,500 hot meals through our community kitchens:
- North tekias: 15,000
- Khan Younis tekia: 7,500
- Deir El Balah tekia: 12,000 and 4,500 bread servings
We also distributed 1,050 fresh produce baskets to displaced people in Rafah, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah, providing enough food to support 30,030 meals.
In the north, the Anera team distributed 1,500 WFP food parcels, providing 66,000 meals.
In Mawasi, Khan Younis in the south, the team distributed UNICEF hygiene kits, benefiting 100 displaced families and with 30 tent tarps for 30 families. Anera also distributed 100 UNICEF jerry cans and 100 3-kg bags of rice.
Anera conducted non-communicable disease (NCD) and wound management clinics in Khan Younis. Our wound management clinic attended to 140 patients and our NCD clinic treated 101. In our wound management clinic in Deir Al Balah, our health team attended to 46 patients.

Today in Gaza, Anera distributed 60 cubic meters of water, benefiting approximately 20,000 people living in informal shelters across the middle area and Mawasi, Khan Younis.
Hot Meals Distribution:
Through our community kitchens, we collectively prepared and distributed 44,320 hot meals:
- North Tekias: 12,100 meals
- Mawasi, Khan Younis (Fish Fresh Tekia 1): 4,500 meals
- Mawasi, Khan Younis (Sanabel Tekia 2): 4,500 meals
- Khan Younis Tekia: 4,500 meals
- Deir El Balah Tekia (Middle Area): 12,000 meals
- oPt-Funded Kitchen (Khan Younis): 6,720 rice and chicken meals
Fresh Produce Distribution:
We distributed 1,050 fresh produce baskets to displaced families in Rafah, Khan Younis and the middle area. This provided enough food for approximately 30,030 meals.
Food Parcels Distribution:
In the north and Gaza City, we distributed a total of 1,300 food parcels, supplying 71,720 meals. This included:
- 1,000 WFP Food Parcels
- 300 Food Parcels from Al Salam Kuwaiti, along with a 25-kilogram bag of wheat flour per parcel.
Total Meals Provided: Between hot meals, fresh produce baskets, and food parcels, Anera provided a total of 146,070 meals to those in need.
Medical Care – Khan Younis:
At our wound management clinic in Khan Younis, we treated 108 patients, including 39 new cases and 69 follow-ups. Additionally, our non-communicable disease (NCD) clinic saw 20 patients, consisting of 17 previously diagnosed cases, 1 suspected case, and 2 healthy individuals.
Medical Care – Deir Al Balah:
Our wound management clinic in Deir Al Balah city treated 33 patients. Among them, 20 were new cases and 13 were follow-up cases, all receiving proper care from our dedicated clinic team.

Anera distributed 75 cubic meters of water, benefiting approximately 25,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) living in informal shelters across the middle area and Mawasi Khan Younis.
Food Aid:
Anera’s community kitchens collectively prepared and distributed 44,180 hot meals:
- North Tekias: 11,960 meals
- Mawasi Khan Younis (Fish Fresh Tekia): 4,500 meals
- Mawasi Khan Younis (Sanabel Tekia): 4,500 meals

We also distributed 1,050 fresh produce baskets to displaced people in Rafah, Khan Younis, and the middle area, supporting 30,030 meals.
In the north and Gaza City, 500 UAE food parcels were distributed, each containing a 25-kilo bag of wheat flour and 3 liters of oil, providing 44,000 meals.
In total, Anera’s food aid efforts provided 118,210 meals, including hot meals, fresh produce, and food parcels.
WASH Interventions:
In partnership with UNICEF, Anera distributed 345 hygiene kits to displaced families and conducted hygiene promotion and awareness activities.
Health Clinics:
- Khan Younis Wound Management Clinic: Provided care to 120 patients, including 60 new cases and 60 follow-ups.
- Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Clinic: Treated 18 patients, including 16 with pre-existing conditions, 1 suspected case, and 1 in good health. The clinic also performed 20 circumcisions, bringing the total to 92 circumcisions so far.
- Deir Al Balah City Wound Management Clinic: Treated 34 patients, including 24 new cases and 10 follow-ups.

Today, we provided a total of 45,060 meals to people in Gaza, including hot meals, fresh produce and meat parcels. Through our community kitchen tekias, we collectively prepared and distributed 23,500 hot meals:
- North (Jabalia area) tekias: 10,000 hot meals
- Mawasi, Khan Younis tekia (1): 4,500 hot meals
- Mawasi, Khan Younis tekia (2): 4,500 hot meals
- Khan Younis tekia: 4,500 hot meals
Due to the expanded military operations, we were unable to operate the Dier Al Balah tekia today. We also distributed 600 fresh produce parcels to displaced people in Rafah, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah, providing enough food to support 17,160 meals.
With support from Islamic Relief USA, we distributed 4,409 pounds (2,000 kilograms) of meat parcels, with 2.2 pounds (1 kilograms) per family, to people in the north and Gaza City, supporting 4,400 meals.
Anera distributed 23,776 gallons (90 cubic meters) of water to some 30,000 displaced persons at informal shelters in Deir Al Balah and Mawasi, Khan Younis today.
In healthcare services, we hosted our wound management and noncommunicable disease clinics in Khan Younis, attending to 97 patients and 85 patients, respectively. And our wound management clinic in Deir Al Balah, saw 31 patients.




August 26, 2024
Anera distributed 15,850 gallons (60 cubic meters) of water today, to some 20,000 displaced people at informal shelters in Deir Al Balah and Mawasi, Khan Younis.


And between hot meals, fresh produce and meat parcels, we provided a total of 65,930 meals to the people of Gaza today. We prepared and distributed 24,000 hot meals through our community kitchen tekias:
- North tekias (Jabalia area): 15,000 hot meals, plus 1,500 additional hot meals supported at a local community kitchen through the provision of meat
- Mawasi, Khan Younis tekia (1): 4,500
- Khan Younis tekia: 4,500 hot meals
- Deir Al Balah tekia: 7,500 hot meals and 4,500 servings of bread






We also distributed 1,050 fresh produce parcels to displaced people in Rafah, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah today, providing enough food to support 30,030 meals.
With support from Islamic Relief USA, we distributed 4,409 pounds (2,000 kilograms) of meat parcels, with each family receiving 2.2 pounds (1 kilogram), to people in the north and Gaza City, supporting 4,400 meals.
Turning to health services, we hosted noncommunicable disease and wound management clinics in Khan Younis, serving a total of 138 patients. And at our second wound management clinic, in Deir El Balah, today we saw 39 patients.

August 25, 2024
Today, we provided a total of 65,930 meals to hungry people in Gaza, including hot meals, fresh produce and food parcels. For our hot meals, we collectively prepared and distributed 24,000 meals through our community kitchen tekias:
- Northern tekias (Jabalia area): 15,000 hot meals, and supported an additional 750 meals with provisions of meat to a partner tekia
- Mawasi, Khan Younis tekia (1): 4,500 hot meals
- Mawasi, Khan Younis tekia (2): 4,500 hot meals
We also distributed 1,050 fresh produce parcels to displaced people in Rafah, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah, providing enough food to support 30,030 meals.



And Anera distributed 4,409 pounds (2,000 kilograms) of raw meat parcels, 2.2 pounds (1 kilogram) per family, to residents in the north and Gaza City, supporting the preparation of 4,400 meals.
Also today, we provided 10,567 gallons (40 cubic meters) of water to around 13,300 displaced people living at informal shelters in Deir Al Balah and Mawasi, Khan Younis.
As to healthcare, we conducted noncommunicable disease and wound management clinics in Khan Younis, serving a total of 91 patients. And in our wound management clinic in Deir Al Balah, we provided care to 30 patients.
August 24, 2024
Anera distributed 21,134 gallons (80 cubic meters) of water to some 26,600 displaced persons at informal shelters in Deir Al Balah and Mawasi, Khan Younis today.
We also provided a total of 113,190 meals to people in Gaza today, through a combination of hot meals, fresh produce, and food parcels. We supported the preparation of a further 1,950 hot meals through the provision of meat. For our hot meals, we collectively prepared and distributed 31,500 meals through our community kitchen tekias and supported 1,950 hot meals with meat at a local community kitchen:
- North tekias: 15,000 hot meals, and supported an additional 1,950 meals with meat at a local community kitchen
- Mawasi, Khan Younis tekia (1): 4,500 hot meals
- Khan Younis tekia: 4,500 hot meals
We also distributed 1,150 fresh produce parcels to displaced people in Rafah, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah, providing enough food to support the preparation of 32,890 meals.
In the north, we distributed 1,500 World Central Kitchen-supplied food parcels containing vegetables, fruit, and meat, providing a total of 44,400 meals. Additionally, with support from Islamic Relief USA, we distributed 4,409 pounds (2,000 kilograms) of raw meat parcels, with 2.2 pounds (1 kilogram) for each family, to people living in the north and Gaza City, supporting 4,400 meals.
Lastly, we hosted four field health clinics today. At our noncommunicable disease and wound management clinics in Khan Younis, we saw a total of 280 patients. Our wound management clinic in Deir Al Balah saw another 56 patients today. And our mother and child health clinics in Mawasi today and in Deir El Balah on August 21 (previously unreported in our response log) saw a total of 314 patients, with care provide by a general practitioner, a pediatrician, and a gynecologist. The two field clinics hosted hygiene and health promotion sessions attended by 125 people. The clinics also provided 52 women breast feeding counseling, diagnosed four children with severe acute malnutrition, and five more with moderate acute malnutrition. The clinics also provided 12 women and seven children with one-on-one counseling sessions with a psychologist.





August 23, 2024
Anera’s team in Gaza has successfully delivered 22,000 kilos (22 tons) of frozen meat from the West Bank to northern Gaza. Over the past two days, 27,000 meat-based hot meals have been cooked and distributed, benefiting 27,000 people. We are still in the process of distributing frozen meat packages. Thank you to everyone and all donors who supported this life-saving delivery.








August 22, 2024
Today in Gaza, Anera’s team successfully distributed a vital supply of meat that had taken months to procure and deliver. This protein distribution marks a significant milestone, ensuring that families receive much-needed nourishment. We are finalizing the delivery numbers and will share them publicly tomorrow (23 August) with our donors and supporters across social media and in this response log.


Unfortunately, most of our operations in Gaza were suspended today due to the dangerous security situation that our team and the communities they serve faced over the past two days. However, healthcare activities in Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah continued to take place.
Healthcare Activities:
- Khan Younis:
- Wound Management Clinic:* A total of 120 patients were seen today. Among them, 48 were new cases, and 72 were follow-ups.
- NCD Clinic: The clinic treated 23 patients, including 19 previously diagnosed cases, 1 suspected case, and 3 patients who were found to be in good health.
- Deir Al Balah:
- Wound Management Clinic: Our team provided care to 38 patients, with 27 being new cases and 11 returning for follow-up treatment.




August 21, 2024
Today, Anera distributed meals 59,100 meals, including hot meals and fresh produce. Through our community kitchen tekias, we prepared and served 36,000 hot meals.
- North Gaza: 15,000 hot meals
- Mawasi, Khan Younis, Abu Jarad tekia: 4,500 hot meals
- Mawasi, Khan Younis, Fish Fresh tekia: 4,500 hot meals
- Mawasi, Khan Younis, Sanabel tekia: 4,500 hot meals
- Deir Al Balah tekia: 7,500 hot meals and 4,500 loaves of flat bread
We also distributed 1,050 fresh produce parcels today to Rafah, Khan Younis, Deir Al Balah, with ingredients sufficient to prepare a total of 23,100 meals.
Also today, we distributed 50 hygiene kits to 100 families in Khan Younis.
And our wound management clinic in Deir Al Balah City saw 49 patients today.

August 20, 2024
We provided a total of 100,350 meals to people in Gaza today, including hot meals, fresh produce and food parcels. Through our community kitchen tekias, we collectively prepared and distributed 36,000 hot meals:
- North tekias: 15,000 hot meals
- Mawasi, Khan Younis tekia (1): 4,500 hot meals
- Mawasi, Khan Younis tekia (2): 4,500 hot meails
- Khan Younis tekia: 4,500 hot meals
- Deir Al Balah tekia: 7,500 hot meals and 4,500 loaves of flat bread
We also distributed 1,050 fresh produce parcels to displaced people in Rafah, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah, providing enough food to support 30,030 meals.
In northern Gaza, we distributed 1,200 World Central Kitchen-supplied food parcels, providing 34,320 meals, along with 1,000 hygiene kits from UNICEF.
Anera also distributed 60 cubic meters (15,850 gallons) of water today to around 20,000 displaced persons living at informal shelters in Deir Al Balah and Mawasi, Khan Younis.
At our wound management clinic in Khan Younis, we served a total of 112 patients. Our noncommunicable disease clinic saw 104 patients. And in our Deir Al Balah wound management clinic, we saw 24 patients.


And in the West Bank we distributed medicines and medical supplies today to partners across the West Bank, including Nablus, Jenin, Qalqilya, Jericho and Al Aghwar. The distribution today included more than 30,000 treatments of anti-diabetics, antibiotics, pediatric medications, anti-fungals, analgesics, lipid-lowering agents, gastrointestinal medications, and mental health medications.
August 19, 2024
Hot Meals Distribution in Gaza:
- North Gaza: Today, 15,000 hot meals were distributed.
- Muwasi, Khan Younis: Three community kitchens (Abu Jarad Tekia, FISH Fresh, and Sanabel) each prepared 15 pots of food, totaling 4,500 meals per kitchen, providing a combined 13,500 meals.
- Central Gaza Tekia: Delivered 7,500 meals along with 5 bags of flour, which were used to bake 4,500 loaves of bread.
36,000 hot meals were served across Gaza today.
Vegetable Baskets Distribution:
- Rafah: 300 vegetable baskets were distributed.
- Khan Younis: 300 vegetable baskets were distributed.
- Middle Area: 450 vegetable baskets were distributed.
Each basket weighs 10kg, providing 22 meals per parcel, which amounts to a total of 23,100 meals.
In total, 63,600 meals were distributed across Gaza today in the form of hot meals, fresh produce and loaves of bread.
Additional Distributions:
- Khan Younis: 50 hygiene kits were distributed to 100 families.
Healthcare Services:
- Wound Management Clinic in Deir Al Balah: A total of 22 patients received care today. Out of these, 14 were new cases, and 8 were follow-ups.


August 18, 2024
Our efforts continued today across Gaza, focusing on providing essential food and supplies to communities in need.
In North Gaza, we successfully distributed 15,000 hot meals. Meanwhile, in Muwasi, Khan Younis, three key locations played a crucial role:
- Abu Jarad Tekia: 15 pots prepared, resulting in 4,500 meals.
- FISH Fresh: Another 15 pots provided 4,500 meals.
- Sanabel: 15 pots were cooked, delivering another 4,500 meals.
Our Central Gaza Tekia was a hub of activity today, where 25 pots were prepared, yielding 7,500 hot meals. Additionally, 5 bags of flour were baked into 4,500 loaves of bread, providing much-needed sustenance.
Vegetable baskets were also distributed to across Rafah, Khan Younis and Gaza’s middle area. Each basket weighed 9 kg, containing enough food for approximately 20 meals, totaling 21,000 meals.
In total, 61,500 meals were distributed today in the form of hot meals, fresh produce and loaves of bread.
In Gaza’s middle area, 60 hygiene kits were distributed to 120 families, ensuring that basic sanitary needs were met.
Today at our wound management clinic in Deir Al Balah, 33 patients received care. Of these, 23 were new cases, and 10 were follow-up visits. Notably, two of the new cases involved outreach to patients who had recently undergone major surgeries and were unable to travel to the clinic. Our dedicated nurses visited them in their tents, providing the necessary care and dressing changes. These efforts highlight our commitment to reaching even the most vulnerable individuals in need of medical attention.


In Khan Younis, our wound management clinic saw 62 patients today, with 46 being new cases and 16 follow-ups. The Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) clinic attended to 11 patients, 10 of whom were previously diagnosed, while one was a suspected new case.
In addition to these services, we continued circumcision procedures for newborn males, with 18 boys receiving the procedure today. Hygiene kits, analgesics, and antibiotic cream were distributed to ensure proper post-procedure care.
August 17, 2024
Today in Gaza, our efforts focused on providing essential food and resources to those in need across multiple regions.
In North Gaza, 15,000 hot meals were distributed, ensuring that families had access to nourishing food.
In Muwasi, Khan Younis, our teams worked tirelessly at three key locations:
- Abu Jarad Tekia: 15 pots were prepared, delivering 4,500 meals.
- FISH Fresh: Another 15 pots were cooked, also totaling 4,500 meals.
- Sanabel: The final 15 pots here provided 4,500 meals.
Central Gaza Tekia saw a substantial effort, with 25 pots resulting in 7,500 hot meals. In addition, 5 bags of flour were utilized to bake 4,500 loaves of bread, ensuring a diverse food supply.
We also distributed vegetable baskets to displaced families in Rafah, Khan Younis and the middle area. Each basket weighed 9 kg, providing approximately 20 meals per parcel, amounting to a total of 21,000 meals.
Overall, today’s operations successfully distributed a total of 61,500 meals in the form of hot meals, fresh produce and loaves of bread.
In Gaza’s middle area, 200 bags of flour (25 kg each) and 200 bags of rice (4 kg each) were distributed to 200 families, providing much-needed staples.
At our wound management clinic in Deir Al Balah, we continued to serve the community on the seventh day of operations. A total of 38 patients were treated, with 21 new cases and 17 follow-ups. Our dedicated team ensured that each patient received the necessary care, addressing their wounds with professionalism and compassion.
In Khan Younis, our medical teams were also hard at work. The wound management clinic there saw 142 patients today, with 43 new cases and 99 follow-up visits. This clinic remains a crucial resource for those in need of ongoing care and support.
In our Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) clinic, 92 patients were attended to. Among these, 84 were previously diagnosed cases, while one patient was suspected of a new condition, and seven were found to be in good health.
Amid ongoing health concerns, particularly following the confirmation of the first polio virus case, our team continued its awareness campaign on hepatitis and polio virus prevention. Today, 110 women participated in these educational sessions, which were complemented by the distribution of personal hygiene kits.

Anera’s team in Gaza distributed 18,492 gallons (60 cubic meters) of water today, benefitting 20,000 people living at informal shelters in Deir Al Balah and Khan Younis.
Anera also coordinated preparation and distribution of 47,400 hot meals through our tekias (community kitchens):

- Middle Area: 7,500 hot meals and 4,500 bread servings
- Khan Younis oPt Funded Kitchen: 9,000 rice and chicken meals

We delivered 1,050 fresh produce baskets to displaced people in Rafah, Khan Younis, and the middle area, providing enough food to support 30,030 meals.


In Gaza City and the north, we distributed 1,000 WFP food parcels, providing 44,000 meals.

In total, between hot meals, fresh produce, and food parcels, we provided 114,530 meals.
At our wound management clinic in Khan Younis, we served 116 patients, including 50 new cases and 66 follow-ups. Our NCD clinic saw 51 patients, including 39 previously diagnosed cases, 1 suspected case, and 11 in good health. At our wound management clinic in Deir Al Balah City, 30 patients received care, with 21 being new cases and 9 follow-ups.


In the West Bank, at Anera’s Hebron distribution denter, we received a shipment from our generous donor, Direct Relief, containing IV solutions, anesthetics, sutures, and other medical supplies. This shipment will significantly impact our partner facilities during the ongoing emergency.


August 14, 2024
Today, Anera distributed 70 cubic meters of water (18,492 gallons), supporting some 23,300 displaced people living in informal shelters in Deir Al Balah and Mawasi, Khan Younis.
We provided a total of 139,930 meals to people in Gaza today, including hot meals, fresh produce and food parcels. Through our community kitchen tekias, we collectively prepared and distributed 31,500 hot meals:
- North tekias: 15,000 hot meals
- Mawasi, Khan Younis tekia (1): 4,500 hot meals

In the Khan Younis, we distributed 260 UNICEF-provided hygiene kits, to 520 displaced families.
In Gaza City, we distributed 1,500 World Central Kitchen-supplied ready-to-eat food parcels, providing 42,900 meals. In the north, we distributed 800 World Food Programme food parcels, providing 35,500 meals.
At our wound management clinic in Khan Younis, we served a total of 125 patients today. Our noncommunicable disease clinic also saw 11 previously diagnosed patients. And in Deir Al Balah City, our new wound management clinic saw 27 patients.
Finally, amid heightened violence and tensions in the West Bank, we distributed essential medications donated through Direct Relief and International Health Partners for conditions like hypertension, diabetes, and bacterial and fungal infections to local healthcare providers across the West Bank.




August 13, 2024
Today, Anera distributed 70 cubic meters of water, benefitting some 23,300 displaced people living at informal shelters in Deir Al Balah and Mawasi, Khan Younis.
Also today, we provided a total of 96,510 meals to people in Gaza, including hot meals, fresh produce and food parcels. For our hot meals, we collectively prepared and distributed 31,500 meals through our community kitchens:
- North tekias: 15,000 hot meals
- Mawasi, Khan Younis tekia (1): 4,500 hot meals
- Mawasi, Khan Younis tekia (2): 4,500 hot meals
- Deir Al Balah tekia: 7,500 hot meals and 4,500 loaves of flat bread
And we distributed 1,350 fresh produce parcels to displaced people in Rafah, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah, providing enough food to support 38,610 meals.
In the north, we distributed 200 cartons of high-energy biscuits provided by UNICEF, providing essential calories for 600 children. And we distributed 600 World Food Programme food parcels to people in Gaza City, providing 26,400 meals.
At our new wound management clinic in Deir Al Balah City, a total of 32 patients attended and received medical care from our clinic team. Among the patients seen today, two had undergone major surgeries and were unable to go the clinic, so our nurses visited their tents and provided the necessary care and dressings.
We also hosted our noncommunicable disease and wound management clinics in Khan Younis, attending to 96 patients and 90 patients respectively. Among these, 88 were previously diagnosed cases, 4 were suspected cases, and 3 were in good health in addition to 1 newly confirmed case with hypertension.
And we continued our awareness campaign on hepatitis and polio virus. About 61 women attended our session today, and we distributed personal hygiene kits.

Today, Anera’s team in Gaza distributed 16,000 gallons (60 cubic meters) of water to 20,000 internally displaced people in Deir Al Balah and Khan Younis.
In our ongoing effort to feed those in need, our tekias (community kitchens) prepared and distributed 36,000 hot meals:
- North tekias: 15,000 meals
- 3 Khan Younis tekias: 13,500 meals
- 1 Deir Al Balah tekia: 7,500 hot meals and 9,900 bread servings
We also distributed 1,350 fresh produce baskets to displaced people in Rafah, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah, providing enough food for 38,610 meals.
In the north, 2,000 cartons of high-energy biscuits from UNICEF reached 6,000 children. We also distributed 600 WFP food parcels in Gaza City, providing 26,400 meals, and delivered 300 food parcels to two churches, supporting an additional 13,200 meals.
Under our health interventions:
- Our wound management clinic in Khan Younis treated 132 patients and the one in Deir El Balah treated 27.
- Our non-communicable disease clinic attended to 33 patients.
- At our mother and child clinic, supported by UNICEF, our healthcare professionals attended to 329 cases between August 10-12.
- The team also continued conducting awareness campaigns on hepatitis and polio.

These informal camps are facing critical shortages of potable and domestic water, along with other basic necessities. To address this, Anera has begun distributing potable water to internally displaced people in Gaza’s middle area and Khan Younis. Given the extreme heat and water scarcity, our distribution provides up to 20,000 people daily with 3 liters of potable water each. This initiative involves delivering 60 cubic meters of water daily for 45 days, totaling 2,700 cubic meters.


Today, on the fourth day of our distribution efforts, Anera provided 45 cubic meters of water, benefiting 15,000 people.


In addition to water distribution, Anera prepared and distributed 42,900 hot meals through our community kitchens:
- North tekias: 15,000 meals
- Mawasi, Khan Younis (1 tekia): 4,500 meals
- Khan Younis: 4,500 meals
- Middle Area: 7,500 hot meals and 9,900 bread servings
- Middle Area (oPt funded kitchen): 11,400 rice and chicken meals
We also distributed 1,350 fresh produce baskets to displaced families in Rafah, Khan Younis, and the middle area, providing enough food for 38,610 meals.
In total, we provided 91,410 meals today.


In the north, we distributed 700 cartons of high-energy biscuits provided by UNICEF, benefiting 2,100 children and helping to prevent malnutrition. We also distributed 200 hygiene kits provided by UNICEF to people in Gaza City.
At our wound management clinic in Khan Younis, we treated 126 patients, including 47 new cases and 79 follow-ups. Our non-communicable disease (NCD) clinic saw 25 patients, with 20 follow-up cases, 3 suspected cases, and 2 patients in good health.
From August 5-8, at our mother & child health clinic, we attended to 219 new cases and 139 follow-ups. Our gynecologist treated 159 patients, the pediatrician saw 231 patients, and the general practitioner (GP) attended to 59 patients. We diagnosed 11 cases of moderate acute malnutrition (MAM) and 2 cases of severe acute malnutrition (SAM). Additionally, 67 women and 25 men participated in health promotion sessions about Hepatitis A, Polio, and skin diseases. We also provided breastfeeding counseling to 32 mothers, and 4 women and 2 children received individual psychological counseling. This information has recently become available due to its reporting today.

Today, we provided a total of 81,720 meals to people in Gaza, including hot meals and fresh produce. We collectively prepared and distributed 47,400 hot meals through our community kitchen tekias:
- Northern tekias: 15,000 hot meals
- Mawasi, Khan Younis tekia (1): 4,500 hot meals
- Mawasi, Khan Younis tekia (2): 4,500 hot meals
- Khan Younis tekia: 4,500 hot meals
- Deir Al Balah tekia: 7,500 hot meals and 9,900 loaves of bread

We also distributed 1,200 fresh produce baskets to displaced people in Rafah, Khan Younis and middle area, providing enough food to support 34,320 meals.

In our wound management clinic in Khan Younis, we attended to a total of 127 patients, including 58 new cases and 69 follow-ups. For our noncommunicable disease clinic, 35 patients visited, with 26 previously diagnosed cases and are doing follow-ups, and 2 suspected cases, and 7 in good health.

Today, we provided a total of 79,530 meals to people in Gaza, including hot meals and fresh produce. Through our community kitchen tekias, we prepared and distributed 49,500 hot meals:

We also distributed 17,100 sachets of lipid-based nutrient supplements today provided by the World Food Programme to 570 pregnant and nursing women and young children in Mawasi, Khan Younis.

We also distributed 1,050 fresh produce baskets to displaced people in Rafah, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah, providing enough food to support 30,030 meals. And, with support from WFP, the team distributed food parcels to 2,775 families, with enough to make 195,749 meals.
In Deir Al Balah and Khan Younis, Anera distributed 3,000 jerrycans supplied by UNICEF and 400 4-kilo bags of rice provided by UAE, each.
Our health team conducted a wound management clinic in Khan Younis, attending to 138 patients, and at our non-communicable disease clinic, medical professionals treated 94 patients. Anera also continued our awareness campaign on hepatitis and polio, with approximately 160 women attending. The team distributed personal hygiene kits during the session.
With support from UNICEF, Anera’s mother and child health clinic in Mawasi, Khan Younis served 240 patients. 135 attendees participated in health awareness sessions on hepatitis A, polio, and infant-young child feeding. Breastfeeding counseling was provided to 94 women. The clinic diagnosed seven children with severe acute malnutrition and 20 with moderate acute malnutrition.

Anera’s Gaza team prepared and distributed 33,800 hot meals through our tekias (community kitchens):
- North tekias: 15,000 hot meals

- Deir Al Balah tekia 7,500 meals and 4,500 flatbreads
The Anera health team conducted an awareness campaign for women in Mawasi, Khan Younis, focusing on hepatitis and polio. The campaign included an overview of the viruses, discussion on the causes of rising hepatitis infections and concerns about the new polio virus, and information on symptoms and prevention methods for both viruses. The team also distributed feminine hygiene kits to 100 women, thanks to a generous donation from Direct Relief.

August 1, 2024
Anera’s Gaza team prepared and distributed 33,400 hot meals at our tekia’s (community kitchens) and through direct distribution across Gaza:
- North Gaza tekia: 15,000 meals
- Mawasi, Khan Younis, Abu Jarad tekia: 4,500 meals
- Central Gaza tekia: 7,500 meals
- Plus 5 bags of flour, making 4,500 loafs of bread.
- Sanabel tekia distribution: 2,600 hot meals (rice and chicken)
- Nael Abu Asad tekia distribution: 3,800 hot meals (chicken and rice)
Additionally, in North Gaza, we distributed 31,000 meals over the past two days. This effort ensured that a significant number of people received their daily food.
Vegetable baskets were distributed across several areas, with 300 baskets each in Rafah and Khan Younis, and 450 baskets in the Middle Area. Each parcel weighed 10 kg and was capable of feeding approximately 22 people, collectively amounting to 23,100 meals. We were also able to deliver 2 trucks of vegetables to Gaza City, weighing a total of 14,000 kg and providing 31,100 meals to the northern region.
In total, over the last 48 hours, we provided 123,100 meals through hot meals, food and vegetable distributions, and loaves of bread. This total includes the latest figures from our North Gaza distribution.
Additionally, we distributed 3,000 jerrycans (10 liters each) for water collection in the central area and Khan Younis, and 3,000 kg of rice in 4 kg family-sized bags.
At our wound management clinic, we treated a total of 107 patients, with 62 follow-up cases and 45 new cases. At our non-communicable disease clinic, our team managed 64 cases, with 57 follow-ups, 2 newly diagnosed cases, 4 suspected cases, and 1 patient in good health. At our women and child health clinic, our awareness campaign for polio and hepatitis reached 95 beneficiaries, who also received feminine personal hygiene kits.
