In this log, Anera provides updates on unfolding war in Palestine and our response. In some cases, additional activities may be added retroactively to the daily entries as we receive additional program reporting.

December 31, 2024


On this final day of 2024, Anera distributed 1,500 nylon tarps to displaced families living out in the cold. These tarps offer a lifeline, providing much-needed warmth and protection from the elements. In addition to these nylon tarps, 240 warm clothing kits (one per family) were distributed in northern Gaza, generously supported by JHCO.

Through our network of community kitchens (tekias), AneraÂ’s Gaza team prepared and delivered 12,900 hot meals across southern Gaza:

  • Sanabel Tekia in Mawasi, Khan Younis: 6,900 meals
  • Nael Abu Assad Tekia in the Middle Area: 6,000 meals, accompanied by 2,700 pieces of flatbread

In addition, 9,600 meals were distributed as food parcels and prepared meals across other areas.

Today, our healthcare teams operated six clinics, serving 279 patients:

  1. Wound Management Clinic Â– 51 cases (9 new, 42 follow-ups)
  2. Deworming Clinic Â– 4 cases (all tested positive)
  3. ENT Clinic Â– 73 cases
  4. Nutrition Clinic Â– 10 cases
  5. Internal Medicine Clinic Â– 56 cases
  6. Non-Communicable Disease Clinic Â– 85 cases, including 76 previously diagnosed, 4 suspected, and 3 newly confirmed cases of hypertension

At our wound management clinic in Deir Al Balah22 patients received care: 11 new cases and 11 follow-ups. The clinic’s skilled team ensured that each patient left with the proper treatment and support.

Anera’s Gaza staff members, Mostafa Al-Ghosain and Suad Lubad, visited our medical distribution center and healthcare facility in Khan Younis to oversee the receipt of medications from recently arrived shipments. During their visit, they also received training on the digital systems we use to enhance clinical efficiency. These systems will soon be implemented in their respective clinics, further strengthening our capacity to provide timely and effective healthcare services.

December 30, 2024

The Gaza team distributed 14,961 meals, including hot meals and food parcels.

  • Our tekias (community kitchens) in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals.
  • The team in the north distributed 42 food parcels from WFP, with enough food for 2,061 meals.

The team in Gaza City also distributed 690 parcels filled with warm clothing from HEAL Palestine.

AneraÂ’s work continued today with our healthcare team treating a total of 403 patients across six clinics at the healthcare center in Khan Younis. The wound management clinic saw 82 patients. The general surgery clinic treated 70 patients, while the pediatric clinic served 124 children. The psychiatric clinic provided care for seven patients. And the laser clinic corrected wound disfigurements for nine women and children.

The Gaza team distributed 56,022 meals, including hot meals, flour and food parcels.

  • Our tekias (community kitchens) in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals.
  • In the middle area, the team distributed 660 10-kilogram bags of flour from Al Fajir Scientific, providing support for 14,520 meals.
  • In Gaza City, our staff distributed 190 25-kilogram bags of flour from WFP with enough food to support 10,450 meals.
  • The team in the north distributed 370 food parcels from WFP, with enough food for 18,152 meals.

The team in Gaza City also distributed 530 parcels filled with warm clothing from support from JHCO.

Our health team today conducted five clinics. At our two wound management clinics in Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah, medical staff treated a total of 77 patients; our orthopedic clinic attended to 95 patients; our gynecology clinic treated 47 people; and our physiotherapy clinic saw to the needs of 24 patients.

Our tekias (community kitchens) in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals. And Anera’s Gaza City team distributed 400 WFP food parcels with enough food to support 19,624 meals.

The team in Gaza City also distributed 1,000 parcels filled with warm clothing from support from JHCO.

In the last four days, Anera provided 3,000 pastry meals for children in the north at schools and healthcare centers.

The Gaza team distributed hot meals and Plumpy’Nut packets.

  • Our tekias (community kitchens) in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals.
  • With support from EDESIA Nutrition, in Gaza City, the team distributed 1,950 packages of PlumpyÂ’Nut (a peanut-based paste used to treat severe acute malnutrition) to pregnant women, lactating women and children.

The Gaza team distributed 21,700 meals, including hot meals, flour and food parcels.

  • Our tekias (community kitchens) in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals.
  • In the middle area, the team distributed 440 10-kilogram bags of flour from Al Fajir Scientific), providing support for 8,800 meals.
  • With support from EDESIA Nutrition, in Gaza City, the team distributed 2,000 packages of PlumpyÂ’Nut (a peanut-based paste used to treat severe acute malnutrition) to pregnant women, lactating women and children.
  • They also distributed rice packages, each containing 12 bags of rice, to 66 children with gluten allergies, with support from Distribute Aid.

With support from UNICEF, Anera’s team in Deir Al Balah distributed hygiene kits to 450 families.

AneraÂ’s work continued today with our healthcare team treating a total of 403 patients across six clinics at the healthcare center in Khan Younis. The wound management clinic saw 73 patients, including 24 new cases. The orthopedic clinic treated 94 cases, while the pediatric clinic served 87 children. The urology clinic provided care to individuals with urinary conditions, and the ENT clinic treated 69 patients. Physiotherapy services helped patients regain mobility and strength.

In Deir Al Balah, the Wound Management Clinic treated 40 patients, 19 of whom were new cases and 21 follow-ups, continuing to provide much-needed care to those suffering from injuries.

As families around the world celebrate Christmas, we reflect on the immense hardships faced by Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. In Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, families are enduring ongoing restrictions and instability, while in Gaza, the situation has become even more dire due to the war. Despite the immense challenges, Anera remains committed to providing much-needed aid and healthcare services to those who need it most.

The Gaza team distributed 122,767 meals, including hot meals, flour and food parcels.

  • Our tekias (community kitchens) in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals.
  • In the middle area, the team distributed 1,310 10-kilogram bags of flour (980 from HEAL Palestine and 330 from Al Fajir Scientific), providing support for 28,820 meals.
  • In the north, the team distributed 1,652 food parcels, supported by WFP, providing enough food for 81,047 meals.

Our Gaza staff also distributed tents to 1,300 families, supported by the UAE; 1,400 blankets, supported by JHCO; 700 pillows, supported by the UAE; 6,000 tarps, supported by UNICEF; and 3,700 parcels filled with warm clothes, supported by JHCO.

On this Christmas Day, AneraÂ’s healthcare team continued their vital work in Khan Younis, conducting five clinics and serving 390 patients. In addition to the ongoing wound management and general surgery clinics, the physiotherapy clinic provided support for individuals recovering from injuries and surgeries, while the dermatology clinic offered essential care to those suffering from skin conditions. The gynecology clinic also treated 55 women, addressing the reproductive health needs of vulnerable patients.

Our team in Deir Al Balah continued to provide life-saving care in the wound management clinic, treating 38 patients—14 new and 24 follow-ups.

December 24, 2024

The Gaza team distributed 61,103 meals, including hot meals, flour and food parcels.

  • Our tekias (community kitchens) in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals.
  • In the middle area, with support from Al Fajir Scientific, the team also distributed 300 10-kilogram bags of flour, providing support for 6,600 meals.
  • In the north, the team distributed 848 WFP food parcel boxes, providing 41,603 meals (2 parcels per family).

In Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah, with support from UNICEF, Anera distributed hygiene kits to 920 families. In the north, Anera distributed 4,000 tarps, supported by UNICEF and 2,000 parcels filled with warm clothing, supported by JHCO.

Anera’s also staff distributed 600 individual pastry meals to Zaytuna Educational Center in North Gaza, ensuring that children in these communities receive a small source of nutrition.

At our healthcare center in Khan Younis, Anera’s team conducted six clinics, serving a total of 342 patients. In the wound management clinic, 70 patients received care, with 17 new cases and 53 follow-ups. The deworming clinic treated 10 cases, all of which tested positive. Meanwhile, the ENT clinic saw 107 patients, while the nutrition clinic served 32 individuals. Internal medicine and non-communicable diseases (NCD) Clinics also saw 8 and 115 patients, respectively, offering a wide range of critical healthcare services.

In Deir Al Balah, the Wound Management Clinic treated 40 patients, 13 of whom were new cases and 27 follow-ups.

December 23, 2024

The Gaza team in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals through our community kitchens.

With support from UAE Aid, the team in north Gaza distributed 1,300 tents and 684 pillows. JHCO funding enabled Anera to provide blankets to 342 families. The team also delivered 2,800 parcels of warm clothing with support from Distribute Aid.

Our health team today conducted six clinics. At our two wound management clinics in Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah, medical staff treated a total of 112 patients; our pediatric clinic attended to 99 patients; our general surgery clinic treated 66 people; our psychiatric clinic saw to the needs of 16 patients; and our laser clinic attended to 10 patients.

December 22, 2024

The Gaza team in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals through our community kitchens. In Deir Al Balah, the team also distributed 70 boxes of high-energy biscuits to 280 families, with support from UNICEF.

Our health team today conducted six clinics. At our wound management clinic Deir Al Balah, medical staff treated 38 patients; our gynecological clinic attended to 51 patients; our non-communicable disease clinic treated 114 people; and our physiotherapy clinic attended to 19 patients.

Through Anera’s women economic empowerment project project, women in Gaza have been getting a wage to produce pastry meals for those in need. Over the past ten days, the project has delivered 6,000 meals to hospitals, educational centers, and camps for displaced persons. This initiative not only provides nourishment to vulnerable communities but also empowers women to purchase things for themselves and their families.

December 21, 2024

The Gaza team in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals through our community kitchens. In Deir Al Balah, the team also distributed 50 boxes of high-energy biscuits to 200 families, with support from UNICEF.

At our two wound management clinics in Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah, medical staff treated a total of 125 patients; our dermatological clinic attended to 156 patients; our non-communicable disease clinic treated 114 people; our internal medicine clinic saw to the needs of 92 patients; and our de-worming clinic attended to 8 patients.

December 20, 2024

The Gaza team in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals through our community kitchens.

With support from UNICEF, AneraÂ’s staff also distributed 1,600 boxes of high energy biscuits to 6,400 families and 600 boxes of menstrual pads to displaced women in Deir Al Balah and Khan Younis.

December 19, 2024

The Gaza team distributed 77,844 meals, including hot meals and food parcels.

  • Our tekias (community kitchens) in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals.
  • With support from WFP, AneraÂ’s team in Gaza City distributed 1,476 ready-to-eat food parcels, with enough food to provide 64,944 meals.

In Khan Younis, the team distributed 900 packs of children’s diapers with support from HEAL Palestine.

We hosted seven health clinics today. In Mawasi, Khan Younis, our wound management, orthopedic, pediatric, urology, ear-nose-and-throat, and physiotherapy clinics served 394 patients. And in Deir Al Balah, our wound management clinic treated 46 patients.

Our mother and child health clinic was also operational on December 4, 7, 11, and 14. These clinic days were open in Amwaj, Mawasi, Khan Younis shelters and Zawaida, United Friends Association, and saw 1,516 women and children. We diagnosed 14 children with severe acute malnutrition and 81 children with moderate acute malnutrition; as well as 126 women with malnutrition. We provided breastfeeding counseling sessions for 181 women and hosted awareness sessions for 291 women and children on about solid waste disposal, hepatitis A, personal hygiene, handwashing and anemia. We further provided psychosocial support for 12 women and children.

December 18, 2024

The Gaza team distributed 14,209 meals, including hot meals and vegetables.

  • Our tekias (community kitchens) in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals.
  • In Khan Younis, with support from HEAL Palestine, Anera distributed vegetable baskets to 70 families, providing enough food for 1,309 meals.

Also in Khan Younis, Anera distributed hygiene kits to 200 families, with support from HEAL Palestine. In Gaza City, the team distributed 200 UAE-donated mattresses along with 200 men’s jackets provided by JHCO.

Anera’s health team hosted six health clinics today. In Deir Al Balah City, we held a wound management clinic and treated 44 patients. And in Mawasi, Khan Younis, our network of clinics served 343 patients with specialties in wound management, physiotherapy, dermatology, gynecology and general surgery.

December 17, 2024

Through our community kitchen tekias, Anera’s team in Gaza prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah.

In Gaza City, our food production project made and distributed 600 servings of date pastries to a gathering of displaced people with support from a private family foundation.

Also in Gaza City, with support from JHCO, we distributed 600 winter jackets.

In partnership with HEAL Palestine, distributed 1,100 hygiene kits containing a jerrycan, menstrual pads, and three packs of tissues to families in Khan Younis.

And in Deir Al Balah, we distributed 1,200 packs of childrenÂ’s diapers to families. With support from UNICEF, the team also provided 100 family-sized hygiene kits, benefiting 100 displaced families in Khan Younis.

We also hosted seven health clinics today. In Deir Al Balah City, we held a wound management clinic and treated 40 patients. And in Mawasi, Khan Younis, we saw 424 patients through our clinics in wound management, deworming, ear-nose-and-throat, nutrition, and internal medicine.

December 16, 2024

Today, two critical shipments arrived at our distribution center in southern Gaza. One, from Pharmacists Without Borders, and the other, a locally procured delivery from the West Bank funded by Direct Relief. Together, they bring essential medicines, including much-needed anticancer treatments.

Our team immediately began inventorying the supplies and prioritized the delivery of cancer medications to the Palestinian-Turkish Friendship Hospital. After months of shortages, cancer patients can now resume their IV chemotherapy treatments.

These shipments restore hope for patients and families affected by cancer. Thank you to our dedicated colleagues and partners for making this possible.


AneraÂ’s Gaza team distributed a total of 21,700 meals, including hot meals and fresh produce baskets. Through our tekias (community kitchens), Anera’s team in Gaza prepared and distributed 10,500 hot meals in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah.

In partnership with HEAL Palestine, Anera distributed 1,200 cartons of eggs (each containing 30) to displaced individuals. The team also distributed 600 fresh produce baskets, each weighing 8.5 kilograms, to displaced individuals in the middle area, supplying enough produce to prepare 11,220 meals.

With support from JHCO, the team in Gaza City distributed 900 wool abayas for men. And, with support from UNICEF, Anera provided hygiene kits to 300 displaced families in Khan Younis.

Anera’s health team conducted five clinics, providing care to 263 patients in the areas of wound management, orthopedics, physiotherapy, and gynecology.

Anera, in partnership with the Sukhtian Foundation, is implementing temporary learning spaces. Our psychosocial coordinator today led a psychosocial first aid training for teachers involved in the project. The training equips teachers to identify children experiencing psychological challenges and refer them to organizations that can provide appropriate support.

December 15, 2024

Today, AneraÂ’s Gaza team distributed a total of 70,340 meals, including hot meals and fresh produce baskets. Through our tekias (community kitchens), Anera’s team in Gaza prepared and distributed 10,500 hot meals in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah.

In partnership with HEAL Palestine, Anera distributed 1,000 cartons of eggs (30 eggs per carton) to displaced people in Deir Al Balah. The team also distributed 3,200 fresh produce baskets, each weighing 8.5 kilograms, to displaced individuals in the middle area, supplying enough produce to prepare approximately 59,840 meals.

Additionally, with support from UNICEF, in the middle area, the team distributed hygiene kits benefitting 480 displaced families. In Gaza City, Anera distributed 570 kits of clothes and 1,300 menstrual health kits, with support from the UAE.

Anera’s health team conducted five clinics, providing care to 263 patients in the areas of wound management, orthopedics, physiotherapy, and gynecology.

December 14, 2024

Today, AneraÂ’s Gaza team distributed a total of 47,900 meals, including hot meals and fresh produce baskets. Through our tekias (community kitchens), Anera’s team in Gaza prepared and distributed 10,500 hot meals in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah.

The team also distributed 2,000 fresh produce baskets, each weighing 8.5 kilograms, to displaced individuals in Deir Al Balah, supplying enough produce to prepare approximately 37,400 meals. In partnership with HEAL Palestine, Anera also distributed 4,200 cartons of eggs (30 eggs per carton) to displaced individuals in the middle area.

In Gaza City, the team there distributed 200 blankets and 100 folding beds, supported by the UAE.

Our health team today conducted six clinics covering wound management, dermatology, internal medicine, deworming, and non-communicable diseases. In total, medical professional attended to the needs of 470 patients.

Today, AneraÂ’s Gaza team distributed a total of 10,500 hot meals in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah. The team, in partnership with the UAE, also distributed 450 kits containing containing clothes and towels.

Today, AneraÂ’s Gaza team distributed a total of 36,900 meals, including hot meals, eggs and flour. Through our tekias (community kitchens), Anera’s team in Gaza prepared and distributed 10,500 hot meals in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah.

The Gaza City team, in partnership with the UAE, distributed 850 kits containing clothes and towels and 1,800 mattresses to support displaced individuals in the eastern part of the city.

In partnership with HEAL Palestine, Anera’s team in the south distributed 4,400 cartons of eggs (30 eggs per carton) to displaced people in Khan Younis, along with 480 25-kilo bags of flour to displaced families in Deir Al Balah.

Through our tekias, Anera’s team in Gaza prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah.

With support from the UAE, in Gaza City we distributed 2,256 menstrual hygiene management kits today.

And with support from HEAL Palestine, we distributed 120,000 eggs (4,000 cartons of 30 eggs each), to eight informal shelters in Deir Al Balah. Eggs have become a prohibitively expensive commodity in Gaza, with a single egg now costing $2.70 and a 30-egg carton priced at $81.

In cooperation with HEAL Palestine, today our women-led food production project supported by a private family foundation distributed 600 servings of date-filled pastries to children living in tents.

We also hosted six field healthcare clinics today. In Khan Younis, we conducted five clinics, serving 333 patients with specialized care in wound management, physiotherapy, dermatology, gynecology, and general surgery. And our wound management clinic in Deir Al Balah City, treated another 40 patients.

We also continue to respond in the West Bank. The ongoing financial crisis is making it difficult for people to obtain their chronic medicines. Today, we received two shipments of antidiabetic medications donated by Americares to help ensure that diabetes patients in the West Bank are able to continue to manage their conditions. We will distribute these medicines to our local healthcare provider partners in short order.

Through our tekias, today we prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals in Gaza, in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah.

In Gaza City, with support from the UAE we distributed 250 folding beds, 730 winter blankets, and 300 solar-powered handheld lights.

In Khan Younis, with support from UNICEF we distributed 1,600 packs of menstrual pads to 800 families.

We also distributed 18,492 gallons [70,000 liters or 70 cubic meters] of water, benefitting more than 23,300 displaced people residing in informal shelters in Deir Al Balah and Mawasi, Khan Younis.

Also today, with support from a private family foundation, our new women-led food production project distributed 700 servings of date-filled pastries inside Al Sahaba Medical Hospital.

We also hosted eight field health clinics today. In Khan Younis, the clinics provided specialist care in wound management, deworming, ear-nose-and-throat, nutrition, internal medicine, and noncommunicable diseases, serving 460 patients. Today marks the first day of our newly opened deworming and internal medicine clinics. The deworming clinic conducts stool analyses by a lab technician, provides appropriate care by a physician for children who text positive for worms and dispenses prescribed treatments from our pharmacy. At our wound management clinic in Deir Al Balah City, we treated a total of 36 patients.

And our mother and child health clinic team of health and nutrition professionals went to one of Anera’s temporary learning spaces today at Al Manfaloti School in Deir Al Balah, examining 192 children. We provided all of the children with nutritional supplements, and referred cases of severe or moderate acute malnutrition for further care. We also conducted awareness sessions on personal hygiene and handwashing in a wartime environment for displaced children and their families staying at the school.

Today, we distributed a total of 81,144 meals, including hot meals, food parcels and wheat flour. Through our tekias, Anera’s team in Gaza prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah.

With support from the UAE, Anera’s teams in Gaza City distributed 2,150 family-sized hygiene kits and four 2,000-liter water tanks to a health partner in Gaza City, replacing tanks damaged by the war to ensure the health facility has adequate water storage for their operations.

With WFP support, we also distributed 940 food parcels and 470 25-kilogram (55-pound) wheat flour bags, providing 68,244 meals. We provided this aid to displaced people in the eastern and middle areas of Gaza City.

We also distributed 18,492 gallons [70,000 liters or 70 cubic meters] of water, benefitting more than 23,300 displaced people residing in informal shelters in Deir Al Balah and Mawasi, Khan Younis.

We hosted five field health clinics today. At our wound management clinic in Deir Al Balah City, we treated a total of 40 patients. In Khan Younis, we hosted clinics providing specialized care in wound management, pediatrics, psychiatry, and general surgery, serving 236 patients.

Also today, we distributed 335 Hayya Naqra (“Let’s Read”) educational packs to children at Baitona Center and Al Ketab Wal Sonna temporary learning space in Mawasi, Khan Yunis.

December 8, 2024

Today, we distributed a total of 230,700 meals, including hot meals, food parcels and wheat flour. Through our tekias, Anera’s team in Gaza prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah.

In Gaza City, with supported from the UAE, we distributed 800 folding beds, 2,700 winter blankets, 2,700 20-liter water jugs, and 390 solar-powered handheld lights.

With WFP support, we also distributed 3,000 food parcels and 1,500 25-kilogram wheat flour bags, providing 217,800 meals. We provided this aid to displaced people in the eastern and middle areas of Gaza City.

We also distributed 18,492 gallons [70,000 liters or 70 cubic meters] of water, benefitting more than 23,300 displaced people residing in informal shelters in Deir Al Balah and Mawasi, Khan Younis.

In northern Gaza, with support from a private family foundation Anera distributed 700 servings of date pastries in Asdeqa’ Almared hospital, through our new women-led food production project.

Also today, we hosted five field health clinics. In Khan Younis, we conducted clinics providing specialized care in wound management, orthopedics, physiotherapy, and gynecology, serving 249 patients. At our wound management clinic in Deir Al Balah City, we treated 40 patients.

Today, AneraÂ’s Gaza team distributed a total of 37,980 meals, including hot meals and fresh produce baskets. Through our tekias, Anera’s team in Gaza prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals in Mawasi, Khan Younis and our Deir Al Balah.

We also distributed 1,200 baskets of fresh produce, each weighing nearly 21 pounds (9.5 kilograms), to displaced people in Deir AL Balah, providing enough food to support 25,080 meals.

Anera’s teams in Gaza City, with support from UAE, distributed 4,000 menstrual hygiene management kits, and 130 folding beds to displaced people in the west and east of Gaza city.

Anera distributed 18,492 gallons [70,000 liters or 70 cubic meters] of water, benefitting more than 23,300 displaced people residing in informal shelters in Deir Al Balah and Mawasi, Khan Younis.

Finally, our new women-led food production project supported by a private family foundation is making pastries in the north of Gaza. Today they baked 700 servings of date-filled pastries, and distributed them at educational centers in cooperation with our partner HEAL Palestine.

We hosted four field health clinics today. At our wound management clinic in Deir Al Balah City, we treated a total of 44 patients. In Khan Younis, today we served 388 patients, providing specialized care in wound management, dermatology, and noncommunicable disease.

Our mother and child health clinic was also open November 21, 23, 25, and 30, operating at Amwaj Shelter in Mawasi, Khan Younis; Shams Shelter in Zawayda; and Al Hilal Hospital. The clinic provided care for a total 927 patients. We diagnosed 72 children and 126 women with moderate acute malnutrition, and 16 children with severe acute malnutrition. We also provided breastfeeding counseling for 159 women. And conducted awareness sessions for 230 women and children on solid waste disposal, hepatitis A, personal hygiene, handwashing and anemia. And we provided psychosocial support counseling sessions for three women and children.

Today, AneraÂ’s Gaza team distributed a total of 33,800 meals, including hot meals and fresh produce baskets. Through our community kitchen tekias, Anera’s team in Gaza prepared and distributed 12,900 hot meals in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah.

We also distributed 1,000 parcels of fresh produce, each weighing nearly 21 pounds (9.5 kilograms), to displaced people in Deir Al Balah, providing enough food to support 20,900 meals.

With support from the UAE, Anera’s teams in Gaza City distributed 53 tents, 75 menstrual hygiene management kits, and 200 blankets to displaced families.

Today, AneraÂ’s community kitchen tekias continued their mission to feed families in need, distributing 10,500 hot meals in Mawasi, Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah. We also provided fresh produce to families in the middle area and southern Gaza, offering critical support to communities struggling to survive.

In northern Gaza, with support from the UAE, UNICEF and WFP we distributed hygiene kits, womenÂ’s kits, folding beds, blankets, hand-held lights, jugs of water, flour and dry and canned food parcels.

And six of our field health clinics were open today, addressing a wide range of health concerns. In Khan Younis, we hosted clinics focused on wound management, orthopedics, pediatrics, urology, and physiotherapy, serving 344 patients. In Deir Al Balah, our wound management clinic saw 44 patients.

December 4, 2024

Through our community kitchen tekias program, we prepared and distributed a total of 10,500 hot meals through our Sanabel tekia in Mawasi, Khan Younis, and our Nael Abu Asad tekia in Deir Al Balah, ensuring that families had access to warm, nourishing food. And in the middle area and southern Gaza, we provided families with a total of 600 parcels of fresh vegetables, providing vital nutrition and sustenance.

Additionally, in northern Gaza we provided essential supplies to hundreds of families, with support from UNICEF, UAE and WFP. We distributed hygiene kits, womenÂ’s kits, and other necessities, including folding beds, water jugs, hand-held lights, flour and dry and canned food parcels.

At the same time, five of our healthcare clinics were open today. Our Khan Younis clinics served 246 patients, hosting specialists in dermatology, wound management, gynecology, and physiotherapy. And between today and yesterday, our wound management clinic in Deir Al Balah city treated a total of 82 patients.

December 3, 2024

Yesterday, we distributed 240 Hayya Naqra educational packs to children at Al Amal Shelter in Khan Younis and 400 packs to children at Nour Eldeen Sehwail Schools in middle and south Gaza.

Today, AneraÂ’s field healthcare center in Khan Younis provided critical medical services to 502 patients across five specialized clinics. The wound management clinic alone cared for 98 patients, offering vital treatment to 28 new cases and ongoing care to 70 follow-up cases. Meanwhile, the ear-nose-and-throat, nutrition, and general surgery clinics served 95, 65, and 60 patients, respectively. Our physiotherapy clinic also played a key role, assisting 17 patients in their recovery journeys. These services address the urgent and diverse medical needs of GazaÂ’s communities, ensuring that even in the most challenging times, care and compassion remain constant.

Through our tekias (community kitchens), Anera’s team in Gaza prepared and distributed 13,200 hot meals and 2,459 vegetable baskets throughout Khan Younis and the Middle Area, providing enough food for 51,393 meals..

We also distributed 2,500 blankets (2 per family) as funded by the UAE.

Our health team today conducted five clinics. At our two wound management clinic in Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah, medical staff treated a total of 112 patients; our pediatric clinic attended to 96 patients; our general surgery clinic treated 53 people; our non-communicable disease clinic saw to the needs of 14 patients; and our psychiatric clinic attended to 12 patients.

Through our tekias (community kitchens), Anera’s team in Gaza prepared and distributed 13,200 hot meals and 2,459 vegetable baskets throughout Khan Younis and the Middle Area, providing enough food for 51,393 meals.

Our Gaza teams in the north distributed 300 cooking sets (kitchen utensils, a tarp, a tray, plastic jug), 1,200 blankets (2 per family), 800 hand-held lights, 800 folding beds and 800 jugs, all funded by the UAE.

The team also distributed 240 Hayya Naqra bags to children at Al Amal Shelter in Khan Younis and 400 bags to children at Nour Eldeen Sehwail Schools in the middle and southern Gaza. These bags offer children an opportunity to engage with educational materials even amidst challenging circumstances, reminding them of the importance of learning and hope.

Our health team today conducted five clinics. At our two wound management clinic in Khan Younis and Deir Al Balah, medical staff treated a total of 110 patients; our orthopedic clinic attended to 96 patients; our physiotherapy clinic treated 23 people; and our non-communicable disease clinic saw to the needs of 14 patients.
