Education and psychosocial support | In the Jalazone Refugee Camp, construction of our new kindergarten is nearing completion; aluminum windows and tiling are now finished. We’re providing psychosocial support to children, teachers, and families across 10 kindergartens. To date, 25 kindergartens have participated in a 10-day course, with 23 teachers completing day eight before Ramadan. This initiative benefits 490 children. In partnership with the Middle East Children’s Institute, we’re providing psychosocial support and remedial education to 600 displaced children. After-school activities are active in six schools across Tubas, Jenin, and Tulkarem. This week, we delivered 12 sessions. We distributed 1,119 preschool bags (our Hayya Naqra packs of educational supplies) to Anera-supported kindergartens in the West Bank. These packs were originally intended for Gaza but we rerouted them due to the extreme difficulties in getting educational supplies into the territory.
